Many years ago, I remember reading an article in a hotrod
magazine about a guy that owned six ( 6 ) Yenko Camaro's,
one in each of the original six colors offered. Based upon
the vintage of this article, I'm suspecting these were original
Yenko's, not clones. Anyone know who this article was written
about? A possible member here??

-------I believe that the story was about Gary H's sixpack. Not sure if he still has all of those cars or not.......Bill S

I think the later version of that article (in the last year or two) was Ernst...

Cliff was the first to do it, being featured on the cover of Musclecar Review, I believe titled "The Temple of Zoom". His goal was to have a Camaro of each color, 4 speed and auto. He acquired ten of the eleven before downsizing his collection. Counting his Camaros, '69 Nova, '69 Chevelle and Deuces, he had over 20 Yenkos at one time.

Can anyone tell me the exact issue of Hot Rod that has the article on Gary Holubs collection? I am sure I have it down in "the archives", but need a lead to pinpoint that particular issue.

Anyone know the status of the Ernst collection? Does he still have a collection or has it been "re-dispursed"
(I think I just made up a new word)
BA
At the time of SCR1 Cliff was in the process of downsizing his collection of Yenkos. In fact his Yenko Chevelle was picked by its new owner following the reunion. Some of the Camamos he sold were the Preston-Lawrence drag car and a Gold Demo. And of course our Yellow one.
Cliff still collects rare cars, just not as many Yenkos.
Cliff started out just wanting a Yenko Camaro, but the first one he bought was not the color he really wanted, so he bought another one, and another, untill it got to the point he decided to get one of each color, auto and 4 speed. He got close, all but a LB auto, which he did have the engine for.
Besides all the Yenkos, he had a collection of NOS and original parts second to none.

He also dispursed a gobi beige Yenko Deuce in '96! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Here's a pic from Cliff's collection in the Fall of 2005. The Olympic Gold car is missing...it was at a show.
