Anyone familiar with the seller of this car? He appears to build a really nice car, my only concern is the fact that he admits to having stamped the blocks with the correct markings on the engine pad.
It's great that he discloses this information but, the next seller may not be as honest. He has another black one for sale too that he's done the same thing to.

if the last six digits of the serial number are

"699611" ...as stated in his add....

..But the cowl tag says the car was built in the the 10th month "10C"....correct me if I'm wrong...
..but I think that "body sequence number would have been after the first of March....not October http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

...at least it is a good thing we can make note of these cars for future reference ..if needed http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

The number 699611 is a late October 1969 VIN and is correct for his build date as stated on his trim tag.

My car is the last Berger car known, built 05D. This car has the 140 speedo for a 9737 COPO, but has 14" non-rally wheels. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
Nice car though. I agree about the restamp, but as we always say here, do your homework before you buy. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Figures the one 2k miles closer to me is 5k more http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

I watched both his vids and think the guy is pretty forthright in his presentation-shows you how much the market has softened on anything less that pedigree.Even if he got the shells for free he's gotta have close to his BIN in them..and no takers. Two years ago he could have sold five at that price. For the record I don't condone restamps but them's some nicely finished and affordable tribute cars.

The Texas car is over $1,000,000, I guess the real owner is having some fun.
