Thanks that is the one that was in the trunk of my z when I bought the car and the engine had a flex fan on it. Nice to know I have the correct one.

Check the hole diameter to make sure it is 2 5/8 inches. There is another fan that looks identical to this in 68 also a 4 rivit but has a smaller hole diameter and not correct for the Z.

Don't mean to change the subject here but I have always wondered why the spacing on factory fan blades is not even.

OK, so who taught Charlie how to use a ruler? Figuring out that measurement involves higher math!

LOL...Bigchevydaddy...The ruler was to show distance from bolt centers.
Miss South Carolina couldn't have answered that any better.

Darn, and I was still stuck on the reference to hole diameters! ;-)

i think air much like water, can cavitate if the blades were all spaced the same, i think the odd spaced blades move more air?? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My guess on the spacing would be for reduced vibration or noise levels. The odd spacing would break up beat frequencies caused by the fan turning through still or moving air.

Thanks for the responses. Why do the aftermarket fiberglass and flex fans have equally spaced blades?

Not sure the spacing makes it quieter..the 69-70 BB Nova fans have the same type of staggered setup..they make a lot of noise!!!....most guys took them off back in the day and installed a flex fan.

The staggered spacing was for noise.

5 rivet I could not give them away. I seen a nos one 5 rivet close for 100.00.
