With all the repo trim tags anymore what and how does a potential buyer figure out if one is real or repoped? What is the difference in them?

Sorry but those in the know are not willing to divulge this information for fear that fraudsters will just use this information to perfect their work. If you do have a Trim Tag you are suspicious of, I would suggest sending a picture of it to Mark Canning (Mark C) for analysis. He has been keeping track of trim tags for years and has thousands of pictures of fake trim tags which he retains in a database. He also collects pictures of real trim tags on real cars for comparison.

Thanks for the help,I understand what you are saying. It is sad that this is taking place in our hobby. I suppose once a hobby for some becomes a buisness for others this crap takes place.
