1970 Z28 RS 4 Speed Project for sale.

OK Guys and Girls. Everyone always says, man if that was a 4 speed 70 Z, I'd buy it right now!

Well, not only is this a 4 speed 1970 Z28, with matching numbers, but it's also a RS as well!

To top it all off, 66,529 original miles.

Mostly original parts. It is easier to list what is NOT original than what is:

Non Original Parts:
Intake
Carb
Bell Housing
Headers / Exhaust Manifolds
Smog

Car was laid up in Arizona and purchased from Larry (IBNAZ) on the site about a year ago by my friend craig for $13,000.00. I helped him pull the car apart and bag and tag all of the parts and bolts. And it's sat in my garage since. And sat. And sat. He finally has decided that he will never get to restoring this car, so here's your chance.

He (craig)has 13,995.00 in the car, and that's what he wants back out (13K + 995 Shipping).

Car is 90% tore down and ready for what little repair is needed.

RS stuff is in GREAT shape, and can easily be reused.

The paint you see is original paint.

Call Craig with any questions at 504-376-3259, or if they are mechanical realted (Craig's no mechanic, but hey, neither am I) you can call me. The car is at my house, 504-913-3618.

IN THE PICS BELOW THE CURRENT STATE OF THE CAR IS THE ONE WHERE IT IS TAKEN DOWN.

All photos taken during disassembly and all parts were bagged and tagged.

Thanks,

Rich

To answer a few questions re: rust

There are only two areas that have any rust at all, both are windshield channels. In the back, the bottom interior piece that mounts from the package tray to the bottom of the windshield is rusted out, in the rear channel, there are several holes. In the front, the same thing occurs. On the cowl panel, where it meets the body, but behind the front glass there is a 1" by 1/2" hole.
That's it

Floors are in great shape, no pitting, rust or scale.
Subframe has no scale or rust, same with the trunk.

Thanks for the questions,

Rich

24w x 36l, but if I did it over, I would have done 28 X 36.

I just added a rack, and the loft you see in the pics.

Looks like a nice project car for someone who has the time to do it right. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, to be honest, my buddy was kinda in over his head. With the market being kinda soft, he was worried about selling it, but the response has been positive. Several guys were bummed that they did not see the car ad sooner. I guess you guys were right in saying that the market is still good for what people are looking for.

A 4 speed 70 Z is in demand, and an TH400 is not so much, which makes the 70 Z TH400 a DEAL! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
