Does anybody know what year this might be and what application? It reads Tiger 500 capacitive discharge ignition. Made by the Tri Star Corp Grand Junction CO

I have a similar unit - I had taken pictures of it to put on E-bay but never got around to it. As you can see
mine is a 581 and says new improved for the eighties - as far as I know it was just an aftermarket item.

Not sure of the year of manufacture on that 1st discharge unit
They made resonators in the 1960's too.
