Try going over to www.camaros.org (http://www.camaros.org) and surf around a bit. There is a wealth of first generation Camaro information over there from available engine and transmission options to paint and interior codes. Excellent informational site to learn about the first gen Camaros.

Welcome there whitetrash. Some people might be afraid to come and ask what they think is a dumb question. Although I commend you for asking questions and taking the time to learn from people on this site. They have helped me and a lot of others along the way. Way to jump in!!!!
Don....Also check out www.camaros.net (http://www.camaros.net) for plenty of first gen info. You may also want to buy the books by MacNeish for you research. Good luck with the search.

[/ QUOTE ] From 67-69, that was the only engine for the z/28.

The Z28 option was the engine.

You aren't missing anything but just learned a pretty good lesson. You can bet that probably is not a Z28.

The guy just took a 327 and put Z/28 stripes and badges on it. No attempt at fraud...he says it's a numbers match motor and he has the protect-o-plate.
