Congrats on pulling off one amazing gathering of cars. The amount of quality was amazing. I heard comments all weekend about what a great show it was. I really really mean it Bob. You really put on a great show. And congrats to all of you that brought the great cars. Wow !! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Yeah.....what Charley said not too mention some of the best people gathered together in one place. I was truly amazed at the number of people that pulled together to make the individual and/or group displays. One comment that stuck out in my mind was the one that someone said, "and to think that VetteFest was almost dead a few years ago. You would never think that now." So true. Great job Bob. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif
I need to talk to you but think I will wait about 2 weeks to give you time to recover. I will be in touch. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Without you we would not have a great venue to gather among friends and true car enthusiasts. You are the indeed a special friend to us all. I will get you my 2 applications for the Spring Show....ASAP. Thanks again for all that you do....we all appreciate it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

This was one of the best shows I can rember not just because of the great cars but I seen people I havent seen in years and met many new friends. I want to thank all the guys that brought their L78 to the show, it was a awesome display of very high quality cars. I als want to thank Bob see what happens when they let a true car guy run the show.

I think John hit the nail squarely! Too many times these shows are run by promoters who don't really have a feel for the theme of the respective shows. Not so with Bob Ashton. He's a complete package.
As usual, I had a ball, and the time flew by too quickly. Too much time spent (actually not nearly enough) talking with friends we only get to see a couple of times a year, leaving precious little time to get around and see the cars. VetteFest is truly becoming another Reunion for many of us.
Kudos to Bob and Vicky, and all their crew. We WILL be back.
Also a BIG Thank You to the sYc, and all the members and friends who made up the multiple displays including the L-78s, the Big Cars, the SCW's 'Rolling Clinic', and the NICKEY machines. Hats off to all of you!!!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Simply put an amazing display of cars. My mistake was not planning on staying for the entire event. Not only were the cars awesome but the many, many hobbyist who participated. I plan on being there next year, because its a show you don't want to miss. For me seeing the Chris Short's L89 Elcamino was real honor, the SYC and L78 display was an event unto it self.
But what makes the show are the meeting of old friends and the forming of new ones.
A big thanks goes to Bob Ashton on an outstanding event.

Well I am finally wound down from the event. I had been telling people weeks in advance that I was jumping out of my skin for this show. And damn if Bob didn't blow the cork off that convention center. Everything was great. But as everyone has said, being among friends is the best part of it all. On the drive home I kept thinking how boring the hobby was for me before I joined this site. Having my car was great but without the people its nothing.

I also want to say "THANK YOU" to Bob & Vicky! After arriving later than scheduled on Friday, Bob will still able to accomodate us with 3 of the best spots in the house. Before Bob took over the show I've had no interest in bringing my cars and have only attended as a spectator. Now with Bob, Vicky and their crew running the show I'll try my best to participate in each of their venues. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Many Thanks to all for the kind words. I wasn't expecting to see this! Vicki and I truly appreciate what all of YOU do to help me in the "re-inventing" of the Chevy Vettefest. Believe me...I couldn't do this without the support of the many sYc members who have become an integral part of the shows.
It was a lucky day for me when I decided to post on this site and what has resulted is not only great contacts for cars, but what I feel are some great friendships. The people I have met through this site are some of the very best in the hobby and I owe it to what TC and his family have created, along with the support of the many fine members.
Well, this is just the beginning. I am hoping that the future will bring even better Vettefest shows and I hope to achieve my goal of making Chevy Vettefest another Must Do event, like how SCR is now.
My Hat is off to each and every one of you.
