Nice clean, good running car. It's not perfect but that's why I drive it. Asking $62,000 or best. It has in the area of 52,000 mile. Only took it out 3 or 4 times this year. I think to buy this car you have to be sick or have a thing for the big cars(Kind of the same).

------Bought my 93 Suburban in 1995 and sometime therafter for some odd reason bought a car-cover. Much later I went to use the Suburban car-cover on my 64 Grand Prix for the winter. Big surprise,,,,,it didnt fit,,,,,too small!!!!!...........Bill S

Just curious..........did Chevy offer an auto with the '65 L-78?? I have a soft spot for that model since my high school buddy had one in '68. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

No automatic was available for the L78. Only the M21 and 22 and the M13 3 speed. Can you imagine driving an L78 with a three on the tree!! It was possible..

Thanks http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif That's what I would have guessed. My buddy's car was a hi-speed rocket. We had a little speed contest one day with my '69 Road Runner. I had him by 4-5 car lengths at first because he just spun the tires, but before the end of the marked 1/4mi he flew past me like I was standing still! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

The first automatic put behind a solid lifter BBC was in '68. If I recall correctly, a bunch of those cars went to a little town in Western Illinois. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My very 1st car was a 65 Impala. Originally a 283 , 3 speed on the column. It was converted to a 3 speed in the floor and had a 69 350/300 camaro engine in it w/ 373 rearend. The car would haul butt. Amazingly the registration showed the car only weighed 3525 lbs.I don't know why i remember the weight on the registation, but, i do. I payed $800 for it. I sold it to a buddy for $650 and it ran forever. It had bucket seats from a Mustang in it. The best value i ever had in a car.

Yeah, I talked to Maloney. Madison, WI is the only info he volunteered. From what I understand from the internet, they gave they car away.
