Ive been keeping an eye on the auction entires for cars to watch/buy this year.. and one that caught my eye was a 68' Camaro unconverted Yenko.. Its listed in Barretts preveiw pass book they mail out and on Russo and Steeles website.. I wonder if if they know they are both advertising the same car.

After looking at Barretts cars (it appearsthere are simoe good ones)I cant believe people are taking "GOOD" cars this year..either they have balls of steel or more money than god and it just doesnt matter.

I think its time to buy and sit back and wait for the market to rebound.

This probably wan't unexpected Andrew. Tom Billigen passed away in 2006 and I imagine his wife and/or estate has decided to move on and sell the car. Only time will tell I guess if the timing is right.

For anyone that hasn't seen this car, it is a gem. R.I.P. Tom.

I read the auction link and understand the circumstances for the sale..Im just curious who is going to be selling the car? Barrett or Russo..

Never met of talked to Tom but may R.I.P and I hope his car goes to someone that will take care of it.. The history and looks of the car are about as good as it gets for a 68' Camaro for me.

Great story about how Tom kept the L-78 out of the car for 30+ years, and then found the car and reunited the two.

I did not know he had passed. May God bless your soul, Tom.

Yes, Toms wife has decided to take a chance thru the auction.....considering the situation, she is looking to get the most possible for the car. She and I were considering a private sell, considering i have the other non converted car - but its more important that she try to get all the money the car can bring. Ill be there with the car as well to answer questions to help out.

The original question, that has not been answered, is "is it being sold at B-J or Russo?"

Did she ever find all the paperwork that was missing that she was looking for back when I talked to her awhile ago.

I don't know the answer to the auction question, but here is a nice article on the car -

I'm still wondering which auction it is going to go thru as well. Neither auction will "usually" start promoting a car without paperwork in house?

I hope it meets the consignor's expectations. It is a very cool Camaro.

Anyone want to guess on current Market Value?

I dont know why both auction houses are advertising it, Robin signed a contract with Russo and Steele - it will have a reserve on it.

Is there a link to let everyone know about the history of this car? Was it ever "assigned" a yenko stock number"?...
...but was never converted?
I would think that there would be alot of people that frequent this site that would be interested in this car.
..very rare color too http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
