Well, that is my project that I have been working on since last July. It's a no special car that I now have 3/4's of the body work done on. It was an original 6 and I'm converting it to a 425hp 350 with a 4spd. I am trying to get more pics of it up on here! Ugh! I'm a little new at the picture thing, so bare with me. LOL

I have to remind y'all that I'm 27 and I'm doing this stuff all on my own. I have 4 Nova's, a 55 Bel-Air and a 69 Camaro. So I am indeed made for this site! My dad has more pics on his camera that he is going to send me. Once you see the other pictures, you won't believe that it is the same car. I had to build a rotisserie for the thing because I wasn't going to let the underbody go untouched. I have picked up so many tips off of this site from all of you guys on what to look for, as far as markings and such, that I had to try it at least once. It might not be a Motion or a COPO or an SS396er or 427, but I'm gonna have fun with it.

When you get that car done, you will have indeed earned your stripes. I went through most of what you have doing our '72 Lemans Sport. I'm just starting the body on our '69 that I bought new. After this car I don't want to see any more projects. Getting too old I guess. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Nice to see the young lads getting into the old cars too. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I haven't shaking this "disease" yet. If it were just a strip and repaint, it might be too boring for me. That's just how I am. I need a challenge. I love learning the "art" of restoration. I wish the Supercar Workshop would post more pics of what they do because that is the kind of stuff the interests me. I have the utmost respect for what they can do!

A suggestion. FWIW. Replace the qtr all the way up to the original lead line. It takes a little more time, but is well worth the effort in the end. JMHO.

Love the comment Andy that had me rolling when I read it! But here is an amazing door I picked up off of a 71 Ventura.

Haven't posted about the car in a month. Been raiding junkyards and taking trips in search of parts. Picked up a floorshift column, and stripped the door and finished the bodywork to that. Cut the 4sp hole in the floor and got some leads on a dash bezel and some kick panel vents. The bodywork should be finished very soon and hope to have the car in epoxy by the end of next week. I don't think I will make Gettysburg, but I'm going to try!

Just a small update. The car is ready for wet sanding and paint. It looks so good with even just primer on it!
I just checked my seats out at the upholstery shop and they look awsome. I have waited 13 yrs to do this color and style interior. I won't be able to take any pictures of them yet, because there was a little problem with the fabric that was sent to me. The fabric company is going to make good on the mix up, but it will be atleast 3-4 weeks until I can pick up the finished seats. I am so glad that I planned ahead and I am really excited for the finished product.
