Looks like a fairly original, and fairly loaded L78 Nova, never saw the KC (L78 HD clutch)engine code on a L78 Nova, decent paperwork if it'a real.

There is another supposed L-78 Nova on the auto trader website that they are asking $16,950 that might be worth looking at also. The car has too many wrong things like a 10 bolt for it to be worth my time to go look at it. The seller insists that the 272 motor is the original one for the car but it has been decked and it has square port heads if I remember right. The trim tag is coded for black outside with gold interior. If the car is real it could neat looking when done. I also have some body that has 2 L-78 novas with out motors in storage in Ohio that offered both cars to me for $12,000 but he could never come up with decent pictures so I can not justify flying out there to look at the cars. One car was an automatic and the other was a 4-speed. If anybody is interested I will try to find the e-mail and forward it to you.

The black and gold combo is as odd as the red and gold combo of the one Nova that was on ebay recently.

I am getting allot of requests for more information about the 2 L-78 Novas in Ohio. The last e-mail I got around the first part of November was from this address:
[email protected] I think the guy's name was Terry. If the cars are worth while I could be a buyer for one of them.

The one Terry owns is in Iowa. He might be willing to sell for the right money. I don't know too much about the car, except he bought some parts from me for it.

Same guy he lives in Iowa and the cars are stored in Ohio. At least that is the story he told me. I think he is restoring another L-78 Nova and a L-78 Chevelle also.

I purchased my numbers matching L78 Nova from Terry when he was living in Des Moines back in 2000. Great guy to deal with. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

I'd look long and hard at that enginepad and POP.
I don't think they are real - Vettes were the only cars that got a MA6.

The car is up to about $25000 or so, what do you guys think a good price would be on this car?

I had mentioned to another member that I have never seen a KC coded L78 Nova, anybody else seen one prior to this car.?
There was a sliver one in Jeffersons car corral a few years back that had one.
I have no idea where it went to after that.

MA6 is the option code for dual disc clutch.

Years ago I owned a JL8 Z28 that was ordered with a dual disk clutch but he or someone then crossed it off the order list.

The engine production totals show zero KC, KE, and KA motors built in 69.
And the Chevrolet production totals also show zero for MA6.
Several people tried hard to order them in 69, they were never available.

Note that Corvette is different. They actually made some MA6's for them.

In Hoopers " The 1969 Camaro Reference Book", Pg 316 there is a picture of the dual disc clutch assy. Do you agree some might have been available over he parts counter ?
