Heard a rumor that the guy who invented/monitors the NCRS Bloomingotn Gold deal is going to start doing Musclecars besides Vettes and will, of course, have his own definition of "survivor" etc. This should be interesting...

-----The rumor is true. David Burroughs was all over Chevy-Vettefest looking at survivor type cars. The one 65 SS396 Chevelle and a certain 1970 Z-car come to mind. I believe he said that the first year would be a display only type of deal to figure out the interest level.......Bill S

Part of this new program will be taking place on the Sunday of the Bloomington Gold weekend in June 2008.
The IROC Camaro that was on display at Chevy vettefest was from the Bloomington Gold Historics Collection/tm and it had a sign proclaiming the following:
"This car will introduce SURVIVOR/r beyond Corvette.
Earning its 20 year qualification, this 4,000 mile loaded IROC Z-28 convertible will be used over the next year to increase awareness that SURVIVOR/tm Certification is coming to all brands of cars.
Bloomington Gold will open its trademark to properly qualified judges in all the GM, Mopar, and Ford models as well as sport and import cars.
If its over 20 years old, passes a road test, remains unrestored and in good condition, it may be SURVIVOR/r Certified/tm.
Watch for more to come how to apply for this award through Bloomington Gold."
