Need help locating or fabricating the rubber gasket that fits inside the cap. The picture shows an NOS YC-310 unit with a restored one on the ground to the left. The gasket I need is shown in the cap in the first photo. Thanks

I've got a NOS one here for a 409....tough gasket to make. I think you would have to make a mould from the good one and pour it with silicone. I'd think finding a used dist. to steal from would be the best bet..... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

By any chance, did you get that box in the background off ebay with a pontiac distributor in it?

I've also got an NOS one from a BBMopar .... I agree, tough gasket to make.
Have you tried contacting Mallory? I have a similar tach drive unit in my corvette and they still had parts for it.
Just a thought.

Thanks for the input. Fast67Velle, the YC-310 came directly out of its original box. Mike, is there a particular contact or dept. familiar with vintage components at Mallory? There was also an individual with the last name Mancini who worked on these. Anybody know him?
