Nice car, I don't think I've ever seen a silver/pewter/grey interior in a mid year 'vette... What did Chevrolet call that color interior?

-----Mike,,,You could get silver interior in 64, 65, and 66. To my knowledge it was just called silver. Abbreviation for it was Si. In 64 you could order it with black dash or navy dash which was very cool, but in 65 and 66 you could only get the black dash. Sliver was deemed too bright for the dash as there would be reflections. Sort of like white interiors not having white dashes.....Bill S
I've seen it referred to as Gun Metal interior later on.

-----Rick,,,You are correct. In 68/69 the silver was a bit darker and called Gunmetal right in the catalog......Bill S

------Jimmie,,,If the car looks as good as the pictures Im not surprized Stretch has had his hands on it.
------I finally reached my cousin who had almost exactly this same car, hence my interest. So close in options and color that I thought it might have been his. He reminded me that he ordered power windows. The car is much too late a serial # to have been his as well. Hes not suffering by not having his Corvette back too much, but he wont even talk about the 427 Cobra he was the second owner of. It was serial #3003, the third 427 built and had a great racing history. He traded it for a 1967 used Shelby GT500 as no one wanted the Cobra. I think he realized about $5500 out of the Cobra by the time he sold the Shelby. I rode in the car at about 175mph once on Rt.71 going south near Medina OH. It was God-awful fast and handled terribly at speed. He used to blow a headgasket every time he would take it out and really exercise the thing. I wanted to buy it but no one on earth would lend me a dime at the time. Hey,,, It was 1969. Who knew..........Bill S
