It says Bill Wiemann owns it. I thought someone else in AZ has it. Am I wrong?
Hey, I think I still have an extra one of the original broadcast sheets from that car (it had 4 of them, if I recall correctly) Maybe I should put that on ebay. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Doesn't Mr. C own this car or did it trade hands? I would imagine whoever buys it may want the 6 inch thick series of photo album pages I still have on the car, before during and after. I was a nice car to start with and I photographed as much as I could, way back when, in order to document where everything was for future generations.
It's nice to see my work held up after all these years even if it was a "driver-restoration" at the time. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

It is nice to see that there is still a market out there for the big dollar cars. Maybe the rumors of the collector car market prices dropping is just a conspiracy created by the big dollar collectors to get the prices down so they can come back in and scoop them all up at bargain basement prices...
Just like Orange Juice and Pork Belly Futures. Hey, I saw Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd in Trading Places, I know how the market works. It's those darn Duke brothers at it again.
Hey, Rich you want to broker my photo album and broadcast sheet? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif Interesting trades accepted!

Hey John !! Thanks for the kind words. It's been a fun trip for me doing this when everybody said I couldn't do this job !!
Now everybody is brokering cars and have taken a lot of people(victims) for a lot of money. I have tried to specialize in selling only some of the Best pedigree cars and only pedigree cars since I have started.
Hey John, I enjoy hanging with all the guys in Chicago when I'm in town and have said that you guys are straight up.( Your pizza still S*^ks)
Steve I'm sorry I don't get involved with bargaining for buildsheets, fender tags, etc. I feel they belonged with the car when it was first sold. I see guys doing this a lot and I will stop while I'm ahead. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Sorry ! I'm sure you can get a hold of him.

Looks like the car has 2 bids now!
Rich, that extra broadacst was one I found in my bookcase where I used to store car info, 10 years after the car left. If I recall correctly the car had broadcasts located all over it: 4 or more, that went with the car to Otis. It even had a unique Assembly Line Damage Report I found under the carpet that showed the front end had been damaged somehow at the plant. There were "X"s handwritten on all the front panels in the diagram. Everything I had at the time went with the car. I hope all that stuff is still with the car since I never made any copies of anything back then.
As for photo albums. I think I am like a lot of people who keep that personal material since they also contain a lot of images of family in them. When Mr. C was considering buying the car several years ago he contacted me and I happily scanned and sent him a large number of photos of the car, gratis.
(P.S. I was joking about the brokering comment http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif But I'd imagine you probably run across that for real, quite often in your travels)
And a Gruntled Festivus to you all http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Is it me being a pessimist,or do big dollar cars like this always get listed [and always bid on at least once and not meet reserve]just to give a seller some price tag and negotiation power to boast to the real venue the car will be sold at whether it be Mecum,BJ, or a private sale. I cant remmeber the last time a big dollar car sold thru ebay or failed to get a bid....its always big $$$ bid[s] ,no reserve met. Maybe ebay should start making people have no reserve auctions like BJ does http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Rich, here's a story of willpower: At the 1986 Musclecar Nationals I had the car sitting on the open trailer and some doofus walks up and proceeds to pull back and peel down the front rubber bumper edge where it meets the fender, cracking the paint. I almost vapor locked screaming at the guy...and he was one of the workers for the event! He says: "I was only trying to see what was behind it." It took all of my self control to not try to see what was behind his frontal lobes with my tire iron. I think that was the last Musclecar Nationals I participated in. Stories? When I write my book, most of them will come out. Here's a teaser. Imagine hitting a record breaking ice/snow storm (Superbowl weekend 1986) on the way back from buying the car and seeing this unfold in front of you, mile after mile. It was a complete white out and these guys still felt invincible at 65 mph...until they tried to change lanes, take a curve, stop, or take an exit ramp. I felt like Mel Gibson in the original Mad Max...just trying to make it home, running a guantlet of insane truck drivers. There was about 1,000 miles of this:

It was the scariest road trip of my life. I was going about 25 mph along with all the other car traffic and these trucks whould just scream by at 65 or 70. I guess they thought at 8 feet off the ground they were somehow above the weather inversion layer that was closer to the ground like us car drivers were.
At one point I pulled off the highway into a Holiday Inn to stop for the night. Of course, no vacancy. I go to leave the parking lot and it was sheet ice. All the wheels locked up and my whole rig goes sliding downhill across a 4-way intersection, through a red light. The Good Lord steered me into the only non tree-lined/concrete abutted/cliff edged spot in the area. It turned out to be the gravel parking lot of a bar, threading the needle between two tractor trailers.
I took that as a hint from God that I should stop there and get a drink til the weather cleared. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
