BBBenny's 1969 L-78 Nova!

Hi Bruce, Are you ready for some pics?

Here it is my 1969 L-78 Nova, FATHOM Green, standard black interior, bench seat, 4 speed, black vinyl top, XT wheels. Everything under the hood is correct for the build on the car. It has a correct dated block, but not the original block. The block is out of a 69 nova and is JH coded. It's 198 vin numbers off my car. It still has the original muncie trans and the rear end. I have the build sheet, to show what the car originally was.

The Nova was done by Schonye Paint and Body work. Detail work by Wayne Bushy. The car got a gold in restored class, 68-72 at the Nova Nats. At Vettefest it got a Gold Spinner and Top Gun Award!

The Dutchman did great on this one. Can't beat the color and engine combo!! He promised to leave the nova at my house when he goes on vacation. If you guys like it now wait till you see it after it rubs quarter panels with some of the local muscle in my area. I already got a lot of the parts stashed and Donnie has the correct wheels and tire combo to be really killer! Very nice SS Nova.
I had a green 70 SS350 4 speed, it was sooo much fun, I had to sell it. Or lose my license. Actually I needed to money to go to school, but it sounds better about the license.

Thats funny that this car comes back up. It seemed like every time I was painting a car for bbbenny my wife had a due date reeeeally close. This car and benny's drag car were both painted days before my #2 and #3 boys were born. My wife is glad benny is happy with the flying dutchman cuz she is done even though #4 had nothing to do with him. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif Car still looks great after all these years!!! The L78 is the perfect car for that. The green will be hi-lighted with yellow T-bars and some Cragars. get Paul to make you a pair of nova tow tabs and we can do them in orange. maybe swap your &quot;vintage&quot; headers from the red car to the green car and buy some better tuned tubes for the race car. That probably will be your only real expense but will be good for the Flying Dutchman. The car will run in B/S. I can smell another gold spinner and maybe more.

Beautiful Nova. I'm working on a '69 L78/CX400 Nova right now. Can anyone please tell me what color of paint to buy to replicate the blue used on the brake line and fuel line clips? Thank you.

I think the brake line clips are a greenish tint. I used Testors model paint for the fuel line clips. I believe it is transparent blue.
