I guess they don't consider adding a fake tag as body work? If you don't think there has been any body work and this is original paint.....I have some oceanfront property in Oklahoma to sell you.

I think I may just call and get me a test drive of that mighty fine shay-velle.

Strange that would select Burnished brown and a brown vinyl top for the colors with a black benck interior if they were making it Orange and white !!!

I missed in the ad where it said "no body work and original paint". The auction I am reading says restored, stripped down to bare metal etc.

As far as the tag goes..... diferent colors than the ones on it now............I don't get it and why show a close up of it when it looks fake to me and I shouldn't be able to tell?
cheap car though, even if its a clone.

I don't live far from there if anybody wants me to go check it out.

The movie claims all original paint when they are giving the claims of "no dents, rust, and original paint". The ad itself claims "no known bodywork". Watch the video....I was doubting that I really heard it, but listened again and there it was!

What does a 69 trim tag tell you in regards to it being an SS? It looks like a tag that was blasted to me. It also looks like a nice car. Why the bashing?

For 1969,if it was code 72 or code 76 paint,it would authenticate it's Super Sport status.

I love it when someone re does the seat covers and does not replace the buttons. Looks sooo MickeyMouse.

All the car needs for me is a big OrangeCountyChoppers decal in the back window!

Seriously though, why not just report them to the local authorities for selling a car with a fake cowl tag? Of course I am assuming this is illegal, sort of like spinning back the odometer.

p.s. makes me thankfull I have owned mine for 16+ years and have the GM Canada docs to prove what it is.... Back in 91 I know of a party that backed out on my SS as they thought it was fake cause it didn't have a 138 in the VIN....their loss my gain!

I understand the Daytona Yellow/Orange SS only trim tag deal. This trim tag does not have those paint codes. I have no reason to research it but I imagine the tag was removed to paint and reinstalled with the incorrect rivets. It is obvious to all of us that the rivets are wrong. Would you rather they put the right rivets in place?

Sandblasting maybe? I am not saying it was necessary but may be what happened.
