After watching for 3 1/2 days an absence seems to be predominant of 70 chevelles and
67 68 ,69 Camaros. Only a few have been for sale??
Its a Chrystler and Ford show. Especially 57 T birds and 7000 'Cudas. I wonder if all the rare chevy guys are boycotting this auction.
One LS6 70 chevelle old for 140,000. and another ls6 sold for 80,000. What gives

I was thinking the same thing. I looked at the lineup and do not see many 68,69 Z28s at all this year. Seems like they have all found good homes already.

All the Chevelles and Camaro's are at the Russo Auction....Went there with Bruce on Friday and was "Very" Impressed with the Quality and Quantity of the Muscle Cars there........The "Cushion" of having a Reserve seems to be working at Russo.................Bet the Russo people and the B-J people don't go out to Lunch together.......

It seems to have been a good thing for the Camaro's and Chevelle's that did show up at Barret Jackson. When there is only a few of each the prices are higher.

I havent seen any results other than whats posted here, but im guessing a pace car did good money either at BJ or on ebay in the past few days , because ive received 3 emails on a pacer i had for sale 3 months ago,and that only means one thing http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif No wonder people inflate prices of cars,it works......

That was the DY coupe, and the car formerly known as the you know what that now has aftermarket D88 went for 177,500 +juice.

Either way with that blacK cherry coupe at 140K looks like these are right up there with some Shelbys-about time!

A couple of '70 LS5 Chevelle convertibles with incorrect colored stripes and no stated documetation went for $80,000 and $95,000 respectively. The white '70 white L78 convert went for decent money today.

I remember back in the early eighties at a chevelle
show in detroit when a Ls6 convertible came in as the owner wanted to sell it.
I looked at the car real close It needed complete resto
wanted 5500. dollars

The new ZR1 Vette has the same brakes that the Enzo Ferrari has? Will Enzo owners get their cars serviced at the Chevy dealer? My cousin manged the service dept at a Ferrari dealership and told me brakes and rotors cost $35,000.

Peter,
I thought I recognized this car as one that has lived in suburban Chicago about 10 years ago. I have been looking through old photo albums (pre-digital for me) and can't come up with a pic to verify. I do recall the green bech seat and '#59' on the firewall.

Let me know what you know...

We were watching the auction last night, and to our suprise, there was Colin bidding on the Monkee Mobile. He did not get it, or we might have had something really different at SCR11. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

Same car.
That's Fred Nolans' old COPO Chevelle from here.
Talked to him last week, and he remembered how he barely get 60K for it less then 10 years ago..Shown at shows like VF-SC-NCOA etc. as well as a multidue of mags back then.
He also sold his Rallye Green column shift COPO Camaro for 80K at that same time.
Both real nice cars.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif
