Have the original CE from a red L89 chevelle ragtop. Also have 2 other CE L89s, none with original stamp pads however for chevelles just camaros. dates on CE motors are may 69,and i think one is a few months earlier than that, also have a CE 854 w 842s dated fall 69

I emailed you about the 1170 distr in the past-thought it was gone
I have been lead to believe the piece is correct for my 68 L78 Nova-is that so in your humble opinion?
Any deals today??

Chuck
What do you mean certify?
Further, does it need a rebuild to your knowledge?
Thanks again
Ty

Chuck
My questions are real-maybe a little naive, but.....
What do you mean by certify, and does it need a rebuild?
Thanks
Ty

Its a used original not a rebuild,by certify i mean i will guarantee it is a real piece and not a restamped unit.

Not sure I follow... is there anything on the pads of the CE L89 motors? I'm trying to find a good original motor (either an original CE stamp or a closely dated motor with previous car's VIN to put in my 05C L89 Chevelle).
Thanks.

Have 2 JJ stamped L89 camaro motors, 1 L89 stamped for 68 chevelle, a CE L89 with all may 69 dates including heads #842,[and several other CE motors, and a few others that are decked.

I was under the impression that all CE motors were generic with a casting number that worked for several applications?

How can you tell if a CE motor was for a L89 or L78? Or for a Chevelle or a Camaro (unless dealer stamped VIN)?

Thanks!
