I have a complete 1969 396/350 horse engine for sale.
JF 1969 Chevy II 396 350 Mt HP
JF 1969 Camaro 396 350 Mt HP
Block Casting 3955272 date A-14-9
Pad stamp T0117JF Partial VIN showing above filter.
3931063 heads casting date A-4-9.
Did not remove other side valve cover for date, assuming a matching assembly.
Engine turns freely and looks very clean under valve cover.
$1500 OBO.

I came accross a pair of heads for a 1968, that may be of interest too.
they have rocker studs and guides, no valves or rockers.

With the VIN stamp near oil filter...most likely Camaro engine...Nova would have VIN on pad....

The Kansa City built 69 Chevelles also put the VIN stamp by the oil filter.

Dave, I would almost love to do that! My cousin never took me for a ride in his 396 Nova that he got rid of a year or two ago! Him and his good friend fired the Nova up into someones rock garden one afternoon. Second gear really hit hard and threw them for a loop! I had to supply the new control arm to say the least and I didn't even get a ride.
