Sort of a similar story... did anyone hear of the teen who went drag racing in his brand new M5? He was on a run way of sorts, hit the embankment at the end of the runway, flew 200 feet until he hit a tree killing him and his 3 passengers? I cannot find the link now... this is going to bother me...

A good argument for keeping open and/or building drag strips for people to use. Take the track away and this will happen more often

Guy has a wife and kids at home and is out street racing at 1:30am? Amazing. Don't even want to begin the long list of what is wrong with this. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I posted this on Sunday. Sad story of rich kid killing his four buds plus himself.

I did the math, (why I don't know), and if you leave an 85' berm, travel 200' and hit a tree 15' above the ground, the car had to be going about 140 mph. Give or take. The car left the berm going sideways, so it did a couple of 360s before impact. Absolutly horrifying. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
The wreck in Columbus was just outside the outerbelt, about 5 miles from downtown. Why a man with a family would be so reckless is beyond my understanding. My thoughts and prayers to his widow, as well as the 5 families in FL.

Have seen this happen way to many times I have always said there is a time and place
For this stuff. street racing is just dumb but every day it still happens and when it does
People go on the band wagon about out lawing muscle cars. It not the car it’s the nut behind the wheel http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif
