This is the transmission you need if you're building an LS6. I'm asking $2,200 plus shipping from 94579 (san leandro, ca). I'm a regular over at team camaro and pro-touring.
Email is steve at ptcamaro.com

I've got a Muncie M22 that I've had in my 68 Camaro since 1993. Less than 2,000 miles ago I rebuilt it with the following:
- New input shaft (GM)
- New Synchros
- New dogs and rings
- New shift forks
- New Bearings

The box is in great shape. I've never abused it. It shifts smooth.
I replaced it with a Tremec and don't need this tranny anymore.

Here's the info:

Main Case # - 3925661
Tailshaft # - 3978764
Side Cover # - 3952648

Stamped P0A16C - The best I can tell is:
P-Muncie
0 - 1970
A - January
16 - Sixteenth Day
C - M22

VIN is: 10K160434
The best I can tell is it's a 70 Chevelle. (Anyone know this car?)

Here's video of the internals:

I was dying to find out if this got matched back to the original car...... The "original" car probably has a restamped M22 in it... WHOOPS!

Seeing the last digit of the known car's Vin wasn't noted, I wasn't sure if Rick was protecting the Vin or if the trans was indeed from the exact car or off the few units?.

It was a few units in back of this one.
The owner I referred to has an LS-6 that is not the exact same one that this M-22 originally came out of.The reason I X'd out the last digit was for his privacy.
I linked this thread to him thinking it was something he might be interested in.He contacted me saying Thank You,but he'll pass & keep the nice incorrect M-22 in his LS-6 already.
In his words,"Maybe somewhere out there's the original M-22 my car was built with, and then there's everything else".

I know they say "close only counts in horseshoes", but like NJSteve's Charger Hemi motor, its worth a few points to me to have stuff that was installed in another car on the same day.....
