Supposed to be the 427 pics below.
Thanks for any help.

A. A heck of a lot more than a 69 SS Camaro needing a restoration that has NOT been to Baldwin. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif
Interesting stripe on the 69. Where would I have seen photos of this car within the last month?
Any docs or history?

I was told by someone that the car you are inquiring about coud not be verified by Joel Rosen. It is second hand knowledge so just be sure to check on it yourself before you step up to the plate.

I'll take it. Looks like a cool Camaro. The stripes actually look like a combo of Motion and Yenko?

Wasn't this car rumored to have been converted later?
The price difference between A Day 1 Baldwin Motion car and a Day 2 Motion car are SIGNIFICANT!!!

It could cost you 35-75 to restore the car at a good shop...

Neat camaro http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif. I have to laugh at the shiny tires though..... Makes no sense whatsoever to me why people do that... If it can't be verified it's really no more than a cool camaro that got a bunch of stuff out of Joels catalogs... which is still cool http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Where is that trim tag http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif ? What would Joel charge for a letter on that one?
My experience is Joel charges the same amount ($1,500) for a yes or no. Best to be pretty sure you'll get a yes before sending in the bucks. I understand the seller has some history on this site.

He's charged a lot more for other cars.
I've documented 4 cars over the years and it's always been the same price. I have nothing but good things to say about Joel from my own personal experience. He has been very helpful and generous with his time. It's great to hear some of his stories about the glory days of Motion Performance directly from the man himself. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

For $5K he better give the car a yes even if its an 87 Toyota! I don't care who he is thats highway robbery!

I bought a camaro that he was paid $1,500 to document. Turns out it was a "day 2" car that was originally bought at Baldwin. I have tried on numerous ocassions to "buy" a copy of that report, only to get blown off. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

seems to me that a report like that should go with the car... it really seems odd that he would not sell it to you...

A copy of what "report" ? If it was just a car purchased at Baldwin Chevy, Joel has no records of those sales.

The day 2 stuff? The guy I bought it from is now a member here and had the Bob Johnson COPO for sale recently (serbigblock ). We were told (by him) he paid Joel to document the car as it was rememberd from back in the day in Long Island. He pays the 1,500 dollars and turns out that he is told (By Joel) that although it was bought at Baldwin, it was a day 2 modded car (which he would have a record of?). Serbigblock is bummed as he thought it was a full B/M car and decided to sell. Asks Joel for a copy of his report (for 1,500, you should be willing to put your findings in writing, MacNeish will, for good or bad)). Joel tells him that if he wants it in writing, it will cost him more $$$, they then get into a pi$$ing match on the phone. Serbigblock, pi$$ed puts the car up for sale, and I buy it. I contact Joel (or tried, on several ocassions) and offered to pay the additional monies requested for the "report". About three years ago now. Can't get a commitment out of him. Dancing around, then just ignored.
More than one person on here and some well known names have emailed me asking to be "first" on the list when I sell the car.
Last month I recieved an anonymous(sp) call from California offering to buy the car. I responded that it is in paint jail, getting a 10k paint job, and that I had to offer it to a member here first.
I am STILL trying to find someone who I can get an NICB report run to put the Baldwin bought thing to rest before I put it up for sale. I don't want to rip anyone off with "stories", nor do I want to leave money on the table.
Bottom line, if Joel was paid $1,500 and came to conclusions, if those were what the buyer wanted to hear or not, he should be willing to put those findings in a report and furnish to the customer, just as MacNeish does.
Unless the story from serbigblock was made up, which judging from what I have been told by others and the level of interest does not indicate.
Who knows, but if joel was paid, he should produce the paperwork, which was my point.
