View Full Version : BB Intake 3885069 Identification
Anyone know the application for BB aluminum intake 3885069? I found one doing some Spring cleaning and am curious of its aplication and a ballpark value. The only problem is it looks like someone removed the center divider. Thanks in advance.
Came in three different designs.
3 hole closed Plen,2 hole closed Plen and an open Plenum on:
*1966 Pass. & Corvette w/427~425HP,& L-78 Chevelle.
*1967 L-88 427~435HP Corvette,& L78 Chevelle-Camaro.
*1968 early Pass.w/427~425HP,& early L78 Chevelle-Camaro-Chevy II,& L-88 427~435HP Corvette.
ONLY L-88 Corvette used the open Plenum w/divider cut out at a 45° angle.

They can be had cheaper, but the market seems to have gone up in general.

How can you tell if the plenum divider removal was factory or by an owner? Anyone have pics?

Here's a pic of an original, as cast, 069/093 intake without plenum divider. You can see that there never was a divider, and is not an angle cutout.
There may be other versions.

The missing plenum divider can actually be a good thing for performance if the right carb is sitting above it.

Another #069 cast 11.23.67
COPO Anders, does yours have a plenum divider? It is hard to tell from the pic since it looks straight down on the intake.
Looks like a 2 hole plenum still holding the center divider from here.
