Super Shops

We used to have a store in Huntsville, Al and I bought a lot of parts from them back in the late 80's and very early 90's. They of course went out of business with all the rest of the stores... I see the old building all the time in Huntsville which is a Motorcycle shop now. I can't remember who showed me a few months ago but the Super Shops name has been renewed by some folks and I guess they have a few stores out west again. Looks like they are franchising this time, I hope it works out for them. If I had some extra coins it would be cool to try a speed shop. I am sure it is completely different now than it was in the 80's, my idea of a speed shop is probably most of the you guys idea of a speed shop and that probably doesn't include fart cans, wings and LED lights which I guess you would have to sell nowdays to stay afloat .... I used to go to the one in Garden Grove, Ca....and sometimes the one in Tustin.

As a downer side note (sorry!) Lynn worked with a lady whose son (Chad Chadwick) worked at the Tustin location...and Here's what happened to him. (http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1141725930735)


Less than a week after we attended his funeral...Holly first became ill.

--------I seem to remember that Super Shops going down the tube was one of the major factors in the demise of the original "Boyds Wheels". Super Shops owed Boyds a bunch of money and Boyds being leveraged to the hilt couldnt bury the loss and it took the wheel company down. Of course Boyd didnt suffer as he supposedly had prior knowledge and sold all his stock in his own company near the high. Only the loyal shareholders took it in the a**.......Bill S
