Warning- Post contains Mopar content http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My F6 High Impact Bright Green, 440/4 speed, 100% numbers matching Dodge Daytona is looking for a new home. 1 of 503 total Daytonas produced, and 1 of 139 4 speeds. How many were in F6 I have no idea but not many!

I've owned a bunch of wing cars and this car is by far the best running and driving one I've ever had. That's the great thing about original cars. You won't find a better driving Mopar than this one, tight as a drum, fast, not a squeak or rattle. Money back guarantee if you come here to drive it and disagree!

Fully documented history to new, the president of the Daytona/Superbird owner's club has known it since the late-1970's. I purchased the car from another SYC member in 2006, spent a great deal of money at the now-defunct Aloha Dream Cars getting it in absolutely perfect mechanical condition, and have driven it a bunch. One of my favorite cars to take to cruise night!

Other than 1 repaint about 25 years ago it is an untouched "surviving example" (gotta be careful of those trademarks).

Here is a link to my website for the full write up:

http://www.colinsclassicauto.com/detail.php?car=339

100% numbers matching, all original sheetmetal, interior, glass, fender tag, etc. Mint Broadcast sheet and a good possibility more are hiding in the original interior. NOT a concours car but the most honest and legitimate original 4 speed Daytona I have ever seen. Original exhaust pipes with mid-70's r/w/b "Hush Thrush" mufflers even! All impossible to find irreplaceable Daytona bits are on the car - mint original unrestored Road Wheels with mint 69 only trim rings, both jacks, original windshield trim, grilles, scoops, etc. -nothing from "Dayclona" used to restore an tired old car - what you see is what you get and it is all Mopar and all born with this car.

Asking $245k but will listen to any reasonable cash offer. Some recent purchases are coming home and I need the room!

Email me if any questions or for more details:

Thanks for looking!

ummmmmm, maybe just a Camaro with a goofy hood put together by some guy in Baldwin NY in 1970 http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

and a little '55 Jaguar named after the 4th letter in the alphabet...sister car to the ones that finished 1-2-3 at LeMans http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Same color as the Camaro almost but has a big shark fin behind the driver's head http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Back to the Daytona:

Awesome car, no excuses, must be sold as over the next 2 weeks I have 6 cars coming home!

I paid $225k for the car 2 years ago and spent about $15k sorting it out. This isn't some cobbled up old Mopar, it is a 4 speed High Impact all original Daytona that has been owned by caring enthusiast owners since new.

Current offer is under 200k, don't be shy....it is the biggest (longest, tallest) car in my building and I can't stack them like cord wood! Has anybody else even seen a 4 speed Daytona for sale in the past year?

Open for offers, but please, no trades (that means no Isettas, Charley).

Colin, you should post the article from the 1969 Playboy magazine with the test drive of the same colored Bright Green Daytona. Extrememly rare color. Maybe that will get their blood up and wallets out. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Hey Steve,

Unfortunately my magazine collecting started after I was born, and includes just automotive titles! But are you volunteering to post the Playboy road test for me? I've never seen it, sounds cool! Maybe the vin of the test car matches mine http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I dont have it, but it is an immpressive article. I think it was a two page, full color spread (no pun intended http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif) of an F6 green Daytona.

Pretty funny that the guy who owns a GOLD Daytona can tease the guy with a High Impact color one? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can do better, Les. How about calling it a "Gaytona", you know, like you used to call them before you bought one for yourself! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh- speaking of your gold Daytona, it arrived at my shop last night. Deconstruction starting this week. Ready for OE Certification a few 100k and 12 months from now http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

Colin,
I just happen to log on and read what was recently posted here for sale, and read about your stunningly beautiful Charger Daytona. After reading the responses to your post from fellow members and them giving you a hard time for not having the original article. I just went to my library of literature and I just happen to have an original color picture from that Playboy magazine of the car!

LS6Rat - go ahead and scan it and post it. Oh, and better get about 7 or 8 pages in front of the ad and same on the back end just to ensure you get it all. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

I believe that the current copyright laws mandate that you have to post the entire photographic content of the magazine or face severe civil penalties. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

OK..lemme see; I've got a 1/2 pack of gum, a large bag of Doritos, two quarts of Mobil 1, a case of water, about $267 and, OK, I'll throw in the AMC.

When can I pick it up? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
