1970 Chevelle ls6 for sale. My car is currently in the midst of a rotisserie restoration. It's forest green, white stripes,m-22 4 speed,4.10 rearend, buckets, gauges,no power steering, washer monitor,am radio. This is an original real deal car with just over 36,000 miles on it.I bought it off of the original owner almost 6 years ago.I have 5 build sheets for this car,the original window sticker, dealer order form, dealer invoice,pre-delivery sheet,protecto-plate and dealer warranty paper work as well. All are original and all are in excellent shape. The transmission and rearend are original to this car,the block was replaced approx 7 months after the car rolled off of the lot due to a sand hole in it.I have the original paperwork detailng that work. The engine, trans and rearend have been professionally rebuilt. There is too much to list here. The rolling chassis is essentially done, the body is very solid and in epoxy primer.Call or email me if you have any questions about this car as there is too much to list here.My cell number is 309 360 6596, email is [email protected]. The price on the car is $85,000.00

From the correspondences I have had with Rob as well as the many pictures I have seen of the car, he was restoring it very correctly and his attention to detail was very high quality and used only the best parts and/or NOS parts where available.

Hey guys, the sale on the ls6 may have hit a snag. The guy that bought it is having trouble finding an enclosed trailer to transport the car.He is a member here and is from Louisiana.Does anyone down that way have an enclosed trailer that we could rent? I need the car moved by 4/15 as I am moving out of my house and will have no place to store it? Thanks,Rob

Can't the car just be shipped? I would think you could find a company to pick it up before the 15th.

Probably not a good idea with a car in pieces. I would not trust an outfit to do that. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

As a perk to Rob and any interested buyer, I would be willing to fly to Peoria, IL to inspect and document the car and give someone an honest opinion of what it needs for completion. All I would ask for is airfare and one days lost shop costs. I will cover food and lodging. Unfortunately, the earliest I could go see the car would be the weekend of May 2nd due to other commitments. PM me if anyone is interested.

Guys, let me start by saying a friend of mine Dick K. a car collector drove over 6 hours from Columbus,Ohio to Peoria, Illinois to work out a deal on this car and was USED by the seller to work a better deal with someone in Chicago. My friend took CASH with him to get the deal done, after the first meeting my friend tried to call the seller approx. 5-6 times before he got thru to the seller, my friends final offer on the car was $ 47,500 CASH, and the seller said let me get back with you. And my friend tried to call a few more times only to finally get thru and hear that he was going to sell the car to a friend so he could see the car stay local, I don't understand why Rob would WASTE someones time and let them travel that far. IMO http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif Doug

Did k92 agree to sell the car for $47500? if he didnt its your friends fault for not ponying up the asking price of 50k.. Its not k92 fault he didnt want to sell for that. He started out asking 85k and the car was very well bought for 50k, whem a deal is good sometimes its smart just to pony up the asking price and smile.

If he agreeed on 47500 and then changed his mind after your buddy travel all that way..well then its a different story

Doug, sorry to hear that your friend drove all that way for nothing.
I am not suprised.
Kind of reminds me when k92 posted a camshaft for sale here some time ago for for best offer. (before prices had to be posted)
I think I offered him 225.
After no response to my offer he puts the cam on ebay and it does like 230.
i think he used my offer as his reserve.
real class act.

k92's post on this site are only in the for sale sections or in the restoration section so he can ask for free advice to help him with his car.

Shor, that is exactly what happened to my friend..he goes all the way over there works on the sale, and the seller ignores his 5-6 phone calls while he is in Peoria, then takes the call the next day at 9AM after a few more calls, then at $ 47,500 he tells my friend let me call you right back..and then again ignores his calls finally telling my friend he wants to see the car stay local and sell it to his other friend, ALL he had to do was say YES or NO... not jerk the guy around, just to work the amount with someone else. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif Doug

HEY FELLOW MEMBERS LES KITTRELL HERE. I WON THE BID AND I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETTE THE DEAL WITHIN THE TIME FRAME ALLOWED. AND SO I FELT IT RIGHT TO FOREIT THE DEPOSIT. BUT LET ME SAY ROB WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP ME COMPLETTE THE DEAL. THE FRIST PORBLEM WAS THE ENCLOSED TRAILER I HAD LINED UP TO RETRIVE THE CAR WAS NOT READY FOR THE ROAD TRIP. AND AS TAX TIME APROACHED MY ACCTUANT INFORMED ME THAT I WAS GOING TO OWE A LARGE AMOUNT TO UNCLE SAM. SO I FELT IT BEST AT THAT TIME SINCE ROB WAS WORKING SO HARD TO LINE UP TRANSPORTION THAT I BACK OUT AND LET HIM SEE IF COULD FIND ANOTHER BUYER. I GOT MY TAXES PAID AND REVIEWED MY FUNDS AND CONTACTED ROB YESTERDAY ONLY TO FIND A DEAL HAD MADE. I SPOKE WITH ROB AGIN TODAY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE DEAL DID GO FORWARD IF NOT I WAS GOING PURCHASE THE CAR. ROB INFORMED ME HE UNDERSTOD AND HAD NO HARD FEELINGS. SO AGIN I FEEL ROB WAS TOP SHELF IN WORKING WITH ME. AND NOW FOR ME MY SEARCH CONTUINES TO FIND A 1970 CHEVELLE LS6 4 SP. SO IF ANY ONE CAN HELP ME I WOULD BE GREATFUL AND A FINDERS FEE WIL BE PAID IF THE RIGHT CAR IS FOUND. AGIN CONTRATS TO ROB AND THE NEW OWNER. I FEEL YOU GOT A GREAT DEAL AND TOP SHELF CAR

Just to let you guys know, I'm the buyer of Rob's LS6. I paid more than the $47,500 that was offered by the guy in Ohio.
I had been working with Rob on buying this car for over a week, and had gone to see it before any price negotiations had started.
I called Rob (not the first time)the same day Dick from Ohio was coming to see the car. Rob told me that a guy from Ohio was coming to buy the car and was told that he shouldn't come and try to lowball the price, as $50K was the price.
When Dick left Rob's without agreeing to a price, Rob called me to say the car was still available. We quickly came to an agreement and told Rob I'd be down on Thursday to pick the car up.
Apparently, Dick called back to Rob shortly after we made our agreement and was told the car was sold. AGAIN, I paid more than $47.5K that Dick had offered for the car.

I don't know all the particular phone conversations that Rob and Dick had, but Rob was always very up front with me and told me what he wanted and expected for the car. I negotiated with him having full respect for his position, and made the deal work under those guidelines.

I don't think Rob did anything wrong to anyone in this transaction (that I know about), even if you feel I have a biased point of view.

This all just shows that if you want something bad enough, pay the asking price if it's close to your real offer, and get the deal closed.

Thanks Dan, appreciate it. I'm in the process of sorting through all the goodies and am proceeding with plans to get some minor body work done. To be ready for paint, I may need a drivers door for it, as the original has some slight collision damage and I'd much rather have a straight donor door. I possibly have one in stock here, but I haven't looked through them yet.

Thanks to all for the congrats. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/youguysrock.gif
