I know of a 69 Copo Camaro owned by WESYENKO on this site. Mr. Wayne Schmeeckle. It's a gold Berger Copo, no vinyl roof like the one in the photo.

I thought that Wayne's Copo is Olympic Gold, which is also a unique color? The one being discussed is code 63 Champagne.

I'd like to see thew protecto-plate... what dealership did it come from? I've never seen or heard of the car before. I saw this similar one at Super Chevy in Maple Grove a few years ago, but I don't think it was real...plus i think it was gold not champagne. When I first saw the pic I thought it was the same car. http://www.yenko.net/attachments/328640-SuperChevyMapleGrove003.jpg

I would like to see the protecto plate as well.
these cars are cloned about every 15 minutes.
As you know this already so the protecto plate should be able to clear it all up if that is original.....

-----You have commented that these cars are cloned every 15 minutes and I agree with that statement. However, I see fewer and fewer COPO clones built with the express intention of defrauding anyone. I think that is mainly a tribute to this sight as well as a few others. There is so much more general knowledge out there now than there was ten years ago. Is there a chance for defrauding someone,,,certainly! But,,, this car is already getting coverage here and probably elsewhere and I think its chances are slim that it might skate by a buyer if it is not authentic.
-----With all that said I am a sucker for the unusual and this car practically has unusual tatooed across its nose. I love it,,,clone or not........Bill S

10 minutes now I think your right on the money....
These type cars are known by someone I think we can all agree on that.
I am pretty sure the mountain man 1 house on the mountain story's about copo's and hemi super birds & 71 cuda convertibles is all B/s these cars are known and tracked for over 15 years or even 20. So That is why I get surprized that know one knows this car.
And the color combo would for sure be rememberd.

I can think of only ONE performance Camaro in Champagne and its an X66 396/375 car that SCW will be restoring in the very near future. There are no doubt other examples of this color out there{SCRX had a convertible at last years outside show}, but code 63 Champagne is a seldom seen color and its the rarest of all colors in 1969..BKH

I sold a Champagne 427 new back in 69,I still have the paperwork to it. It was a 4 speed, tach console gauges, rosewood, tinted glass, black gut and top, rally wheels,front/rear spoilers, endura bumper,Am/Fm 8 track, rear defrost, tilt wheel, fiber optic, electric clock, power windows, custom interior, floor mats,D90 sport striping and Liquid tire chain. It was ordered by one of the higher ups at Electric Boat at the time.

Cruising this thread almost 3 years later I noticed some similarities to this subject car and a clone car being passed off as real that we looked at in another thread here..
If VIN 124379N674866 it's a clone w/ fake docs and info available in this thread below..
If another Vin, do your homework!.

I did some searching as well I found the car on ebay a long time ago out of CANADA..... The name of the seller was something like ELECTRIC GARAGE DOOR it was an auction company in Canada. The got screwed the car was built and sold from some dirt bag in Florida & they paid for a real car & they sold it for 1/2 what they paid out.
I just was not sure if it wan real because it had full documentation with the car so it was a really upscale fake.
but sorry to the boys in CANADA seem like nice people guy was trying to buy his dream car and lost his ass.
Thank you Jeff

So it is the same car!.
Yes the Electric Garage Co. were indeed the group trying to sell the car on eBay also public auctions and their own website too..
Sad if they got screwed buying it but any compassion goes out the window as after realizing their mistake they clearly kept representing the car as genuine when offering it for sale!.
