Am I the only one that thinks the asking price is shall I say optimistic?

Always hope someone get's their dollar -- but hope he has a bubble for long term storage protection.

If I remember right. Jim at Heartbeat city had the "million dollar car" some time ago and he was talking about parting it out because he could get much more than his asking price. I guess things have changed.

I admit im pretty stupid when it comes to 69 Camaros, but why would a - - car be considered black, if black was available as a normal production color ??

Jim owned the car after it left Arkansas back in 96-7 or so. I still have the Hemmings of when it was advertised out of LR for around $60K.

Jim later had an ad in Hemmings threatening to part it if it didnt sell for a certain amount by a certain time.

It's a -- car because it's stripe delete.

I like how you can add it to your cart for checkout. I'll pay by Visa http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mark,

HA! I was dreaming. If I had a card like that I'd probably send it back to stay out of trouble!

-- means some type of special paint instructions, such as special color, stripe delete... not found on a black Z28 with white stripes.

So therefore you cant determine the original color[or if it came in primer] of a -- car if there is no factory buildsheet with the paint code on it??

Not 100%... although it does have the original paint... but on another car... that has been restored... nope no way to tell with out a build sheet or dealer order form or something.

So if you ordered a -- to be picked up in primer, then painted it red 2 weeks later ,you can claim it was a factory red car and also claim it was stripe delete or not at your own discretion because all -- can be anything anyone wants???[of course a factory buildsheet would be the only key to original color or lack of color] Curious because i saw a -- 69 chevelle malibu painted orange so that the car could also be "documented" as an SS by the color since all yellow and orange 69 chevelles were SS cars. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Chuck, I think that it has been determined that -- was just a special order paint... not body in primer. (I may be wrong on this... someone correct me if this is the case) I think that KurtS and JohnZ have said that the cars with -- were paitned just like every other Camaro just in a special order color, however like you said... without docs who knows what the color really was originally?
