Hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have a 72 Nova SS. I am considering changing interior colors. Currently, I have a black bench seat interior. Can anyone possibly post pics of Red (69) or Sandalwood interiors? This would help determine my final choice of paint. If I keep the black, or go red, I'll probably paint the car the original Antique White. Sandalwood, and I'd either go black exterior or another dark color. I really like white interiors but, as far as I can see, Sandalwood would be as close as I can get. If I use sandalwood, what wpuld the proper carpet, dash, and headliner colors? Also, any recommendation on the best quality repop interior would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is PUI the best reproduction interior or, does someone else make a better one. I see legandary interiors is recommended in another post but, don't think they make nova interiors.

There really aren't a lot of choices for interior trim for Novas.....couple of thoughts: SMS in Oregon has a large inventory of original cloth and vinyl seat material...there are companies like Just Dashes that can restore door panels and dash pads..but they are expensive. Another option is to find a survivor granny car and take out the original interior....you can then replace it with repro stuff and sell the car. Not sure what level resto that you are doing??..that may help with your decision....you can talk to Wayne Bushey at NNN for his opinion on Nova interior parts and trim. He is very knowledgable on these cars...717-252-4192

[/ QUOTE ] I am going with SMS for all of my stuff. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Plus, they can make the panels look exact. I am dealing with them now and let's say that the blue vinyl and cloth is dead on. Or do like Wilma said and find a "donor" car. It's not easy to find all of the right color parts of interior trim. Now you know why black is so popular!

Thanks. I found a lead on some decent sandalwood stuff. A local guy is looking for black interior and wants to pull the sandalwood out. I know it's a low mile car. Still need to see the condition though. Plus, I won't part with my original black int. It's still decent except the front seat. As far as level of resto, it's gonna be a driver but, I really want to do it as cleanly as possible. I kept all the original 350/th350 driveline but, am putting in a big block and 4 speed and installed a 69 12 bolt rear. I'd like to make it look mostly period correct too.
