Guys,
I was typing a long winded business report when my computer froze up on me. I am running a Dell D630 with Vista. Never had anything like this happen before. I am trying to find the old document. Apparently, auto save is not popping up like it normally does. I tried to manually find the document and I'm having no luck.
Any help would be amazing at this point, but Im starting to get fearful.

Did you already try typing the document name into the manual search engine, searching all drives? I suspect you have. I'm no expert whatsoever, but I've lost stuff before and found it with that.
Spybot and adaware work fine for me.
I recently downloaded Easy thumbnails and my computer realy f---cd up with bugs It took my computer guy 1 day to fix the problem.

do a find and use the name or part of the name with and without the extension using the modified recently checkbox. With that you should be able to find the file as it was when the computer shutdown.

I run both of those programs...and have used easy thumbnails for almost 4 years now. It's never caused a problem...so I don't think it's that program...
