Just a trickily worded ad or are these guys really suggesting this is a '67 factory L72 car?.

Pretty car,

Not real hip on the interior color.

------I dont think so, Pete. The car plainly has a cast iron intake and quadrajet in the pics. Most likely just a hiccup on the part of whoever wrote the description.
------It does appear to be a nice resto. Im not sure I understand the headers and turn-downs after the muffs but Im guessing owner preference won out over originality......Bill S

Probably right it's a description mistake or if they're trying to pass it off as an L72, has incorrect parts and is/was an L36 car at best..

Just the L72 and build sheet statements got my attention..
Wouldn't it be something if true and the importance of an L72 '67 car hadn't been given proper notice?!
And in a Biscayne too!.

Although a few possiblities over the years have appeared worth investigating further (incl. '67 Canadian Chevy powered L72 Ponchos), the '67 Impala L72 story and saved 'Special Order' tag presented by the ex GM employee here a few months ago seemed the closest thing to reality I've ever seen/heard of?.

Knowing that dealership I would guess that it is a made up car; they have a pretty crappy reputation.

the goof at the lot probably assumed it was in ohio, not tenn.

cleveland tenn had a huge rep as one of the worst places to buy a car from way back in the day(odometer fraud,etc.).

Nice dual snorkle. Even has the 'CO' decal. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Looks like it could be a fun car.

is that the correct shifter?

The shifter, the boot and bezel are all way wrong. It doesn't even look like it has the floor hump for the 4 speed. No way is it a original 4 speed car.

[/ QUOTE ] few months back I bought a Dodge ramp truck off of eBay, after I got it I discovered there was a 187,000 mile odo fraud performed, yup, you guessed it, it was the tow vehicle for a Cleveland TN muscle car/used car lot for 11 years...
