After the unexpected pet bills(and unfortunately the dog did not make it) I have decided I need to move this car or I'll never get my JL8 done. This is a 1970 Camaro SS396 L78 car with GM of Canada docs. It has the #'s matching motor, a 1965 dated M21, and a late 70 12 bolt rear that is not original. It appears to have the original 3.55 posi in the rear though. Car is originally Classic Copper with the white/black cloth deluxe interior which recently had the seat covers redone. Car runs strong. New clutch, 3" dual exhaust, rear brakes last year. Comes with a set of original P02 wire wheel covers as identified on the documentation and an NOS rear sway bar. Body is rock solid with what appears to be all original panels. Floor is solid with original red oxide primer showing under the grease/dirt and in great shape. Tall spoiler was added at some point in time and not original as this is a very early 1970 Camaro. Feel free to contact me for more details or pictures. Partial trades considered on 67-73 Camaros but would prefer outright sale. $42K and I may be listing this on Ebay in the near future.

There seem to be several very early L-78's. Mine is an 01C car as I am guessing your is as well. I think Sam's is 01C also. Looks like a great car! Good luck with the sale.

My car is also a 01C Norwood build. My engine was assembled in Nov 69....
Would ALL you 70 L-78 enthusiasts PLEASE contribute your info to Mike Steitz's registry at www.nastyz28.com (http://www.nastyz28.com) (original forum)
Jeff, Curious IF your shroud is repop or OEM.....hard to tell from pic....

Not sure if shroud is original but I would guess it is.

It appears to be the correct original to me. The re-pop ones don't have the raised fins on the top of each side, and they have a large gap where they meet the rad support.
They are easy to spot, as they stick out from a mile away.

Thanks guys, it was tough but you could tell it was time and she knew it as well. We lasted about 3 days before we decided to find a rescue dog to adopt. She was 7 months old when we got her and she's still a little jumpy but I think she likes her new home! Here's the new dog named Jackie that is a black lab/whippet/something else mix.

Thank you for getting a rescue dog. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
We are on our third rescued Sheltie and really feel there are way too many good dogs that need a home.

I agree, my wife and I got the goof below from a local foster group. He's now a certified therapy dog (loves his nursing home visits), competes in Rally-O, and is working on Agility!
His name is "Ransom" (after Mr. Olds of course!)
Good luck with your car sale and with your new friend!

I will most likely be driving the car to Carlisle for the Camaros at Carlisle this weekend so if anyone is planning on being there and has an interest in the car, look for me on Saturday.

I know how you feel with the vet bills,we went through the same situation in December.Thats a nice looking Camaro,I like the color combo and think it would look sweet in Classic Copper,I realy like that color, too bad it wasn't avalible on the Chevelle in 70. Goodluck with your sale.
