I am looking for a reasonable reliable carrier to ship a car 900 miles or so from Missouri to Texas. Can you deal directly to the trucking company or do you have to go through a broker? It seems that many of the brokers are somewhat shady and want your deposit up front. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Paul

Paul:
I have been using a company called Bear Transportation for about three years now. J.R. Bear is the owner and he hauls with his own trucks. He uses enclosed two car trailers and is well insured and a really nice guy. He's located in Ohio but will go anywhere. They can be reached at 419.636.1862
The best part are the great rates. Ed

I tried that number but it appears to go to a fax machine.

If J.R. has a downfall it's his phone system. If you try it again it should go to the voice mail. Here's his personal cell number 419.553.7126
Tell him I gave i to you, Ed Lis
