Santa came today.......LOL........The Biscayne ended up being a "Great" Car........Love to drive it.......But.....That's the problem......Close Ratio Muncie (2.20 first gear) and a 3.90 rear are great for the city driving....But....Get's "Old" real quick on the Highway 3000rpm at 55 mph........Want to change the Rear gears to a 3.06 for the Highway, but the 2.20 first gear is not suited for a 3.06 rear and city driving.........So.....After going over all the options of Transmissions (6 Speeds,Tremec,5 speed w/overdrive, Richmond 5 speeds) with Mark Webster.....He convinced me that the easiest way to get to where I wanted to be without any "Hammering", Cutting the Tunnel, moving the Crossmember, or Shifter locations was to put in a Richmond Super T 10 with a 2.88 first gear with the 3.06 rear end gears..............So.........As I was walking thru the house the other day, .....I noticed her Purse on the Kitchen table......LOL.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

If you hurry you can have it done in time for power tour. We need someone with a trunk that will haul everything.

Ken,
Let us know how the install goes. I'm curious to see if it's really a pure swap.

You know... some day she's gonna read this stuff, and you're gonna wake up some morning with your genitals super glued to your leg, and a piece of duct tape matted to the short hairs with "train this" written on it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Well......Took the Afternoon off and decided to change the trans and see what kind of problems were going to come up.......(Remember, I alway's do everything twice)......Had to change the Clutch Disc (T 10 has Fine Spline) and put everything back together with "No" problems......The Hurst Shifter needed to be tweaked slightly (Had to reverse the Reverse shift Rod to get it to clear the Arms on the Gate assy)......But....The biggest Issue will be in modifying the Back-up light switch Bracket to mount on the trans as the side plate has a different Bolt pattern than the Muncie ..........OOPs!!!......Just as I was typing this Crash called and just happened to have the correct Bracket, just came back from his Transmission "Emporium" with the Bracket (Crashes Garage is Transmission Central).....If you need anything.....He has it......Need to get a Turbo 400 yoke and I'm done......Pretty Simple....... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
