Just wanted to share a picture of the factory stripes on the trunklid of the 70 I got recently.
Check out the spacing from each side of the trunk lock. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The painters are coming to look it over today. If they can take it within the next month, like they said, then I can begin getting the other parts replated etc. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I love it when a plan comes together. 3 weeks ago I drove the pilot car into my shop and today I am WELL ahead of the game. The body was picked up today from the soda blaster, engine, trans and rear will be done by next week and the frame should be rolling inside of 4 weeks. Bout time things work according to plans.

Sounds like you're definitely moving quickly on that one Rick. Way to go. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
The painter came out and says he can take the car from June 15th to the first week of July. I will loosely assemble the rest of the body so they can "dry build" it to check alignment etc.
So between now and June 15th, I need to start lining up my plater, upholsterer, and find some miscellaneous missing/damaged pieces.
I think fall Vettefest may be a good target date to shoot for. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Free time? It aint free any more but it sure feels good to be at it again full time.
Rick, lets park them together in the showcase. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Two green cars side by side.

Now there's a plan! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Who's the best plater to use for my bumpers?
Dennis,
You've got nothing to be jealous of. Your original owner status keeps you in a league of your own. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Rick,
use tri-city for your bumbers. there price isnt bad they do very nice work. and with the lifetime warranty you can send them back and they will redo them for free if theres ever a problem.

Not that I know anything about this stuff...could it have been possible that the stripes were added at the dealer...or after the car was delivered? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I suppose this could have been possible, but I don't think that's the case. Here's a link to the Chevelle website with the same thread I started.
Scroll down for the pics taken of the 29 mile LS6's stripes.
