I need a NOS/or nice dipstick for a 1969 TH 400. I have a 1969 Nova L78 and the dipstick in the car is chrome and has got to go. Thanks in advance and any help locating one is greatly appreciated.

Here is the dipstick through GM Parts Direct. If part number 330120 is what you are looking for.

Dave, I think you will find that 330120 is the tube. You will also need 1239014 for the indicator dip stick. Both are GM part numbers. Still avilable cheap. Buy an extra while you can. Earl

I assume the "indicator" is the actual dipstick? I need the same one for my L78.

Dean, The indicator is the actual dip stick. They come in a plastic shrink wrap. Made in Canada. Available with part number form any Chevy dealer. GM parts direct is usually lowest price. Earl

I ordered (2) tubes #1239014 at $16.64 each and (2) indicators/dipsticks #330120 at $7.64 each. I ordered these parts at my local Chevy dealer and I should have them tomorrow.
I want to thank everyone for their quick response and assistance in locating these items. I'll let you know how they worked/fit.
Thanks again,

It should be noted that in 1969 the assembly line used level gauge/indicator #3905449.Used on all vehicles w/Turbo-Hydra from 1968-73 and later superceded by #1387568 around 1976.Then superceded again by #1239014.
In 1969,the assembly line tube housing was originally #3974420 used from 1968-73 on same.It was later superceded by #330120 around 1976.
Although not considered concours correct, there is nothing wrong with using these later issued superceded parts together. But be aware that pairing one with another, before or after the other was released, will result in a false level reading.
