I'm pumped about this weekends Mecum Auction and getting ready to head to Indy. Would have liked to see Dave C's sign collection sell, but have to work, at least today.
With the incredible amount of extremely desirable and choice cars being offered, was just wondering who may be planning on attending and what is going across the block that really gets you going.
I know that Charlie will be bringing in his Brinks truck...anyone else planning on expanding their collections?
I will be like a kid in candy store. (donations will be accepted) http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jerry Mac Neish is putting Old Reliable on the block. It goes up on Sat. in prime time. I was told it is on Discovery Net, but I can't find that station on my Dish Network.

I headed over today & saturday. The sign collection brought big bucks. I left last night when a large chevrolet neon sign with clock on top went for 50K. That is nuts.Since I do know about all the cars, it is hard for me to get a feel for how prices are going.
Guess today & sat will help me gage the market.Different cars, different conditions, etc. It can be too much to take in at once.

I normally do not play powerball but when cars like this come up for sale, I can't resist playing. If I won I was coming home HEAVY.. with Chevys.

OK, enough with the suspense...
Now, somebody post the photos of the auction for those of us that had to go camping in the rain with the Cubscouts.

Hey, that's not the correct fan shroud sticker. Instead of the alleged Camaro "CAUTION FAN" sticker, shouldnt it have the rare "CAUTION ROCKET" sticker?
Congrats on buying the special built drag car, even if it is a Ford. Is that Holman or Moody in the back seat? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

I didn't buy the rocket powered 64 Galaxie. Everything about that car was amazing. He had a video playing that was made by Turbonique showing all the stuff they did with those rocket engines and it was funny as heck. Joey Chitwood drove a Z16 ? with one in it and watching it light off as it is going down the strip is hilarious.
My Fairlane is cool because of the Cammer but the fact that it was done back in 66 at Holman Moody to be a street racer is really cool. It even started life as a black hipo 390 4 speed car.

Always liked that body; especially when equipped with a tunnel port. But,...... changing plugs in a 390/427 was an episode. Stuffin a cammer in the space cured that problem though. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif What's the exhaust system look like?
Love the plain-Jane look, and I'm a little partial to the color. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
