View Full Version : 69 chevelle tail light bezels
While at Vettefest this spring, I was speaking with Dan V and the other 69 gurus..mention was made of a particular brand of bezel that actually fits!..my current supplier has no idea of what Im speaking about http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif and sent me the current "made in tawain" crap that does not fit the contour of the factory extention housing http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif. Dan or anyone else know who sells these bezels?..I cant stand the crap that does not fit well. Thanks

We need an area on this web site where we can post parts that actually fit along with their part numbers and manufacturer. I've pretty well given up on repro parts as most seem to be visibly different from original or don't even fit. NOS parts aren't all that expensive, for the most part, compared to the cost of making aftermarket parts fit the way they should. Been there too often.

Thats the name..thanks!! kept on thinking it was J Llly??.year one..cool http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
I believe the bezels say J. Ley on the back. They fit reasonably well, don't look too bad either, for the money. I bought a set from Ground up about 8 years ago, put them on my Malibu and have been satisified with fit and appearance, not perfect, but not bad.

I bought a set from them hoping they would fit..but, no..contours are diffrerent and result in a large gap on the side of the housing..Jim,Dan when you ordered from Year One..did you need to specify the L Levy ones or are they what Y1 stocks??

Hi Al,
I owned a 1969 SS back in the 90's and had my originals re-chromed and they costed about $200.00 for the pair!
You might think about that option for that COPO!

Dan, I believe its J. Lee and there made for Ausleys. if I remember right J Lee is Rogers son and its not cast into the back of the bezels anymore.

If Ausley's indeed does have them, would you ask them if they have a couple sets?
