This is for sale locally. It's supposed to have a 427 in it but I don't know much else. Any idea where the aftermarket body stuff came from? I REALLY like this car. It's gaudy but there's something about it I really like. He's asking $15000 for it. Opinions?? Could it be worth the $15k this modified?

It could be Ecklers components, probably done in the '70's and I have to admit, I like it. Check for the big block components. Rear sway bar, thick front sway bar, heavy duty half shafts with four bolt caps on the inboard side. If a 435 horse look for a 6,500 rpm tach and transistor ignition. Probably not a bad starting point from a price standpoint if the paint isn't too bad. Tuck and roll interior? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

There were many suppliers you could purchase those kits from. It could be over the counter Motion pieces or
one of many others. The Mako Shark take off on the Chaparral II body style for some reason has been
very popular for the last 30 years.

I would say the paint style is more 81-84 not 70's.

There is a part of me that still likes "the crazier, the better"

Are you sure that is a Cushman? Looks like an AMF built Harley Davidson golf cart to me.

Aside from paint and maybe those '68 Dodge side marker lights, I like it!.
If you're in the market and it's near to you, get your own eyeballs on it...may even have the original motor!?

The car only has 36,000 miles on it and is an auto. It appears to have 69ish Camaro tail lights. I left a message so now I wait for a call back.

Anyone interested in buying my Mustang so I can free up some cash?? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You are correct Andy, I knew it wasn't an EZGO like my first one,(pictured below circa 1985) but couldn't remember. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sweet ride! I worked for Cushman for 6 years, so I guess golf cart styles are just another piece of useless information that I have stuck in my head. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

The car is sold. It is a numbers matching 427 automatic car, 36k original miles. It was built in the early 70's. The guy said the engine is chromed out, new brakes etc. The top has been chopped too. I just got off the phone with the new owner, hoping to make something happen here.

Good luck!

Cool car IMO. Certainly won't be parked next to another one at the cruise night.
