I friend sent me a link about this car thinking he might be interested in this car and asked my opinion about it .Are my eyes seeing things or is there some "interesting stamps" on the block and trany ? The price is now more than he wanted to give for it but I am still curious what others think of this car . To me it looks like some bad restamps or is it it just me .Is the date on the block a little early for the car ?I can not tell about the paper work as I have not had that many to compare .
The ebay # is 180245632536.

David,
Dates and stampings all look good to me. Kansas City cars use that style font in 70. There are lots of 512 blocks cast from J-L for 454 Chevelles. From what is shown on eBay, it looks to be a fairly complete project.

I agree,it all looks like a typical Leeds build to me.
Nicely described & photographed too.

I guess I have not seen too many Leeds built cars before , the 6's look like 5's stamped over and I have never seen a vin stamped upside down either. 70 is really not my year but I always want to learn more. Its a neat car but its going for more then my friend wants to send right now. I know another friend of mine had a Really hard time selling his #match LS5 for 50 earlier this year so we do not want to get buried in one . Thank you for all your help and info!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
