That is a great website. The car looks awesome. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif Hopefully the average guy/gal can buy one like the old days and not just CEO's. I have been hearing that the cars are $40,000 for one that is equipped with the Hemi and that dealers are tacking more money on top of that. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Its going to be a little to late for the Dodge & the Chevy Camaro !! I predict they will be sitting on the lots and can be bought for sticker and under real soon..

Send them to the Arabs to test drive in the sand... They got the gas to play with them like they were ment to be driven

If thats the case maybe I will be able to buy one. Then I can tear up the streets instead of them tearing up the sand. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Well I can't speak to the Challenger because I am uncertain how many different models they are planning to offer but as far as the Camaro, I think it will be a smash hit because of the fact that it will also offer a reasonably priced economy model. Also in the works is a 300 horse, 6 speed, 6 cylinder, not to mention the other two performance models (SS and Z/28).

Let's not forget what the economy was like in 1979 when the Camaro sold more than in any other year.

The camaro is going to collect dust thanks to that stoopid Chesire Cat grille. Who designed (approved) it, Edsel Ford the 3rd?

Many different grills will be offered.

I only see one grill on the Chev. web site, including the Camaro Insider info

Here's another grill showing the car with some packages Chevrolet is working on:

Unfortunately, that red one looks like a modded up ricer! I guess I applaud Chrysler and GM for trying. Why can't they just design these cars without those ugly blunt nose and tail ends. I'm so glad I owned the real McCoys, I thought the '70, '71 Challengers were very good looking cars, same with the '69 Camaro, absolutely the best looking ever.

I think that is the intent of the red one. If the car is to appeal to many different people, they need to offer as much variety as possible.

Well, I certainly wish GM and Chevrolet the best of luck with it. I just won't be among those in line to order one.

The stripes are just "test tape". The other side of the car has a different hockey stick stripe than the one in this picture. They are just trying out different looks and so this does not mean that all the stripes you see here will be available together or even available at all.

It's a prototype picture.
Which means it's still in early stages of development.
This is not uncommon as for decades engineers in the design studios usually split the vehicle down the center and try out various trim/option/paint scheme ideas.

I have a feeling that the Z/28 model is going to embarass a few guys with the 6 figure musclecars!

I think that scheme is meant to blur the body lines so spy photog's can't get a good picture of the car when it's at various proving grounds. Some auto mfg's go to great lengths to hide their product while they are testing it, others will 'leak' the location to the underground press... you know the drill.

I like the left side hood stripe on that red camaro, it looks better when it's extended to the tip of the nose.
