Ive seen some members day 2 rides so I thought Id post a couple pics of mine.. I started out seeing how cheap I could make a nice daily driver, I had known the car since the early 90's its local to my town, I finally talked the owner out of it last year. It is a real RS/SS BB 4 speed Red black guts car.

The car was painted around 1990 and I wet sanded and massaged out the best I could and it turned out pretty nice, I threw in a motor I had laying around, and old Dixco tach, an interior kit and some wheels and tires and a couple stickers from Stefano and what you see equals about 18k invested and some fun shop hours. P.S. I know the alt. is mounted on the wrong side.. I didnt have the correct brackets laying around and this was a budget build.

I drive it when ever possible..I just love the old racer look so much Im building another "budget" 70' Camaro now too thats really starting to take shape..

Sweet ride. The best part is you can take it out and pound on it and not be worried about wrecking any rare parts and still have a lot of fun. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I added some Day 2 things too. Vintage Hookers, tape wrapped for performance, not looks. 3" pipes with DynoMax cans. Ugly but functional. No offense to anybody, but IMHO Day 2 would mean they way it was driven back in 1970. As in daily driver. The only time you saw a car with the hood open was if you were checking the oil, otherwise you might be tipping your hand to the poor sap you were about to hustle out of a $20.00.

Just my $.02 worth, but I would take one of the above cars any day over a trailer queen. They are both just too cool.

Could be that I can't afford a trailer queen though! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
