Rear quarter shot looks good. It is NOT a bad looking car. Although, IMHO, it has nearly zero cues back to 1st or 2nd gen Camaros (unlike a couple of other pony cars on the current market) http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif . I predict brisk sales of the new Camaros. The younger crowds will eat them up and with so many iterations harkening back to the good ol days (Z28, SS, striping, etc) the die hard old farts will come around too.

I am excited by the pony-wars returning. Bring it!!!!!!

I think the headlights are a big improvement. The red/orange looks good!

I have not been following the new Camaro closely by any stretch of the game... can someone explain what is uniquely "SS" about this particular model? thanks!

Here's a link to video of this same black car...

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Gen...e.photopanel..2 (http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/GeneralFuture/articleId=125513?tid=edmunds.il.home.photopanel..2 )

Coming at you the overall nose shape and grille smile look kinda' sucks and is somewhat reminiscent of a mid 70's Toyota Celica....even a bit AMC Spirit/Concorde DL'ish looking?.

Also it may be illegal in Europe or elsewhere but the orange signal lenses may look better mounted inboard and the red ones out giving a wider look...especially when braking!?.

Are there pics of any hugger orange ones?.
And does anyone here know the whole Vin prefixs yet?.

I'll probably catch flack for this, and it pains me to say it, but I think it looks hideous. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I think it's growing on me, that side view above is the best yet.... Can I get it in Gobi Beige? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think it looks worse then the original, it's looking more like someone stepped on a celica.

[/ QUOTE ]yes you can but the trim tag will say - - so you better keep all your paper work so our grandkids can't say that it was NOT available. And you can say "yes it was" cause you got the paint delete code and the paper to prove it. WHEWW! Where would our country be without paper work???

I was hoping someone would address this very important point. Well stated Sam! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Reverend Spotts brings up a good point. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I wonder what rainbow of colors/trim the new Camaro will be offered in?

Guys, although this may be the SS model, the exterior is far from having the final production look. For starters, those are not the headlights which will be on the car. Look at the concept or Transformer movie for a more correct version of headlight design.

This car is also missing the rear spoiler and the tailight/tail panel will look different than what you see here.

Here's a leaked picture of the final look of the 6 cylinder convertible:

No disrespect to anyone here but I'll stick with the originals. 1969!

I am reserving my opinion until I see it in person.

But, isn't this supposed to mimic the 69 model?

Those fenders sure look more like the 67 and 68's.

The "C" pillar is totally 67-68. The only thing '69 IMO is the front end treatment and the gills in quarters.

I guess we are stuck with the future GM designers who see this as their opportunity to style this in their sights.

I go over and over the look of this thing and 2 things stand out to me:

1: Direct comparisons to the Mustang in overall body size and balance
2: Sort of has a feel of the Corvette, per se... in appearance, the rear clip area

This is just from going over it and watching how it looks driving around.

I am only hoping they take cues from their history and restyle this as it goes along over the years as they used to do decades ago.
