This is a very nice 69 Camaro. The car has 37,000 actual miles. Originally a 307 car, the drivetrain has been swapped out for a potent LT-1 Crate engine backed by an Art Carr T400 and a 12 bolt posi rear. The original 307 is included with the car. Options include power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, tinted glass, vinyl top, center console, radio, and more. The interior is original down to the carpet. This Camaro was painted a dark green color early in its life. A few years ago I had the car painted back to the original color of Frost Green. It is a very nice color. The Camaro has no rust, even the trunk has the factory applied spatter paint. The car runs and drives excellent. It is quite fast and is a real sleeper with the skinny whitewalls and dog dish hubcaps. The original black and gold California plates are still registered to the car. This is your chance to get a very clean 69 Camaro without breaking the bank. $28,000.

The doors and trunk lid do not close totally flush due to weatherstripping I recently installed. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I like it! Is there anything wrong with the original engine? Do you have the original 10 bolt and TH350 too?

SuperNovaSS
05-31-2008, 03:34 AM
I don't have the 10 bolt or T350. I think the 307 was in good shape when pulled. It has been stored since. I am not the one who did the drivetrain swap. It was done in 1988 and has really not been driven since.

Jason, neat car. Is the LT-1 crate motor for a 1970 with the 11 to 1 pistons and the solid lifter cam?

The part number for the engine is 3966921. It is referred to in the paperwork as an LT-1C. The cam is a Crower 201-HJ, #00201. Quite a expensive engine in 1988. The trans and axle bills are as impressive.

------Jason,,,This is the best sleeper to appear on the sight for quite awhile. I love it, and someone will enjoy the heck out of it! Whats up with the empty hole on the drivers side valve cover???.......Bill S

thanks for the kind words. The grommet for the valve cover is on order. Once it comes I can run the PCV on the left cover and tube to the air cleaner on the right. I just did not want that minor detail to delay posting pics.

Here is a video of the 69 Camaro. I plan on listing it on EBay this week, most likely tomorrow. I will offer it to members for $24K before listing it.

Don't ask me why I noticed this (anal). However, it appears to me you are making a right on the PCH. But the sun is in your face, but your going North. Even the shadow is behind the cars you pass. The sun should be to your back. What is up with that?

Anyhow I love the car. Only thing is my wife would kill me.

SLEEPER!!!

I am going North on the PCH. In the Monterey Bay it seems like my sense of direction is skewed. Since you are driving around the bay it is hard to tell what direction you are actaully travelling. The video was shot in the late afternoon. Also, the videos of walking around/inside the car were taken at a different place that the ones of the car passing by.

Somebody is going to get a neat car. The video and the sound of the car works. It is hard to beat the sound of a LT-1 350 at idle and at speed.

Jason, did the car sell yet?

SuperNovaSS

There is a buyer flying in tomorrow to look at the car. I will be very surprised if he does not buy it. Although, I was pretty surprised it did not meet the reserve on EBay.

Amen, to that, Stuart. I think this is the worst that I have ever seen it in my life. I work almost seven days a week in an industry little effected, but I'm afraid now to buy anything that I may not be able to get rid of. It's a great time to be a buyer, but you better be buying something that you want to hang on to for awhile!
