Hey Guys, just started putting all of the emblems on my nova and I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the SS emblem on the fender of a 72' nova. I have the assembly manual and the placement of the emblem is very vague. I know its not really exact, but any picture or advice would be appreciated.

Do you mean the SS emblem on the grill??? 73 and up had the SS emblems on the side of the fenders...

68-72 Nova did not have an SS emblem on the fender - only on the grill and on the trim between the tail lights.

73 did have an SS emblem on the fenders, grill, and trunk lid.

74 had a big ol' SS decal on the fenders, trunk, and emblem on the grill.

I liked the look of the 74 SS cars with the decals.. My neighbor had one when I was about 13 years old.. I always thought it was cool looking.. You don't see them either..

No SS emblem on 69-72 Nova fenders. The 68SS did but it was about 2 feet long http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

My first car was a 72 Nova... Although totally incorrect, I thought it would look cool with SS fender emblems, so I used some from a 69 Camaro, placed directly under the Nova script like on a Camaro...Also blacked out the window trim, added 70 parking lights and black Chevelle style stripes...yeah, I know its all wrong, but hey, I was 16. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif At least I painted the NOS headlight bezels to match the grill, which many folks still do incorrectly til this day...Sorry for the crappy pic, but you get the idea. I still miss this old car! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It does look good, but then again.... It's hard to make a Nova look bad http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif.

I'm sorry, I meant the nova emblem.
