Does anyone know if the newest owner of Kevin's orange ZLX is a member of this forum..?
He has anonymously left a message on my Fotki account.
I would like to contact him, if possible, though by his anonymous contact, maybe he isn't keen.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Any help appreciated guys http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It was sold to a member here...then to someone else...who tried (maybe sucessfully) to sell it on ebay...

The OP needs to relax a bit http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If your needing pictures of the car, get with either Kevin or Andrew who was the one that bought it from Kevin. Andy sold the car as well but you might try getting with him off line to see if he will give out the present owners info.

------I sure hope they have this great old Motion car running better than it ran at the last auction I saw it at. It briefly caught fire a couple of times (no real damage) and sounded bad! On that particular day I think interest waned quite a bit. Maybe someone else that was there knows but it seemed like the carbs were way out of sync or leaking down or something.......Bill S

Seems like a true piece of Motion history. Curious as to why it has seemed to have trouble finding a perminent home.

My apologies for going off the rails Bruce. (And to everyone else for that matter... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/blush.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/confused.gif )

I've checked the link posted by xBaldwin Motion, thank you. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif Awesome pics.

I went cold on this build for a while, concentrating on several others in the mean time...BUT, my energy and enthusiasm for this build have returned. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif
I plan on going "all out"....even doing major work to the chassis to get it looking much more accurate.

IF...none of you mind, I'd like to keep posting progress on here...It will be my contribution to a GREAT board, and my only way of EVER building a true Motion muscle car. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif
The full build will be documented @ Fotki, which as you know now, a photo hosting site. My Baldwin build (http://public.fotki.com/Greg5000/112-baldwin-motion-/)
Here's where I'm at with it....

Hi xBM,
Not sure if the Hemmings book is currant, but I have seen several "adds" of this car for sale in recent months...
First at 150K then reduced to 139K, on two different auction places.. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/crazy.gif
IF I win the LOTTO this Saturday, I'm flying over to bring it back to Aus with me.... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/Can-I-Have-It.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif

Anyways...that's my dream.
Back at my workbench, my 1/12 "tribute" build has progressed some....
The firewall is nearing completion, just a few more holes to make. I have attached it to the main chassis floor.
http://images40.fotki.com/v776/photos/6/63306/4547871/69BMC26082010001-vi.jpg

From below, I have filled the voids left front front chassis removal, and started to build-up the "missing" firewall lower extensions. Still a good ways to go...

ALL this new work will receive a generous coating of putty to smooth and blend it all together.
More as it happens guys.
Many thanks

Hey guys, just letting you know this project is about ready to resurface. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/shocked.gif
Wow, 5 years have slipped by so quickly.... Hope a few of you may still hold some interest for it here, it's still my all time favourite Motion car. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif
I have had contact from 2 previous owners (one still currant?) in the past few years, so I really hope I can get this to a standard acceptable by him.
Though photographic evidence of what/how the car looks now is still difficult to find, I think I have enough to help and do it justice.
I have a set of custom decals being made for me, mainly the gold lettering on the hood, as my printer doesn't have that capability...

The last work I completed on it was the rear trunk/floor area. The kit chassis is nice, but not entirely accurate, so I cut it apart and fabricated a new section from behind the seats, rearward...
http://images61.fotki.com/v546/photos/6/63306/4547871/69BMC29082010001-vi.jpg
From there I added pieces of sheet styrene/plastic, shaped and contoured it until I had it fairly correct.
http://images59.fotki.com/v683/photos/6/63306/4547871/DSCF7218-vi.jpg
A new trunk floor was made and added also.
http://images15.fotki.com/v588/photos/6/63306/4547871/DSCF7225-vi.jpg
And the top view, almost finished.
http://images108.fotki.com/v613/photos/6/63306/4547871/DSCF7226-vi.jpg

Hope to have something positive to share with you soon.
Cheers
Greg <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif

Hi Jack,
No sorry, still unfinished at this stage....got stalled on some details. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/thumbsdown.gif
I'm sweating on someone ( TDR (http://www.shapeways.com/shops/tdrcatalog?sg93489%5Bpage%5D=1#sg93489) ) coming out with some 3D printed Dominator carbs. I've had several attempts and they look too "toy like". <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif
Also trying to convince them (TDR) to make a Weiand tunnel ram manifold...converting the SB to BB it's going to plan... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif
Thanks for the interest mate. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

Hehehe, yeah, not sure myself....having just gone the big 55 a few weeks back, I could be running out of time at the pace I build. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif
