I can't seem to find the thread about transporting into canada from the states. I remember reading about how a perticular transport company will look after everything coming over the border as i have a vehicle i need shipped from Austin to Edmonton. Or if someone could make some suggestions as what would be the easiest route to go through and who has a good rep. Any idea as to what kind of $ im looking at, trying to find the best deal with the least amount of headaches. I have never done anything like this before so any help is appreciated.........much thanks!

What exactly are you looking for? There's a pretty good car show here in Penticton this coming weekend on the Okanagan Lake side of town. Apparently Dennis Gage will be here. The lakefront drive will be closed for one mile for the show on Saturday, so a mile of classic and muscle cars for your viewing pleasure.
I'll be taking lots of photos. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I used Mackie about a year and a half ago. They transported a non running car. No problems, easy to deal with.

Same, used them 8 - 10 times and only one mishap,(belt buckle scratches from a slightly large trucker) which they promptly paid up for right away.Only problem is they mostly like to run N/S in the States ie FLA/Toronto and don't do a good job on Westcoast , CA cars( Particularily if you live in the West). Everything has to go through Toronto , so if you live in Calgary, buy a car in CA, they ship it back to Toronto, and then to Calgary, pretty well double the milage, and God know's how many times on and off the truck. Cars coming from the Southern Stas are fine. Great Service though.

Well it's a lesson in futility. Americans are not letting any custom rides out of the country and Canada will only accept factory built vehicles and even then they are strict on what they are letting in. According to customs "as long as the exchange rate stays high things will not change"
I guess the US government only likes it when things are in their favour, when its not change the rules. Im finding alot of pissed off people over this whole deal!!.............add 1 more to the list!!
