It's a Blast.
Some incredible Old Cars, and some really neat people, and all down to earth because we all love cars. Hope to hear from a fair number of SYC'ers.
It's an invitatiion only show and I can get the invitations generated to those who want to come. There is limited space but the Muscle Car Class is wide open and My Wife and I are putting it together.
Thanks for everyones Help.

Hi Al,
Beautiful Chevelle. Beautiful.
If you would like an inviation, Please e-mail me at
[email protected] with a short bio on the car, and a couple photos, also Your Home Address and Phone to send the invitation to.
I will have an invite sent to you, and just fill it out (It comes Snail Mail) and send it back in. The show is inviation only and limited space. Your car would be a great addition to this years line-up.
As a side note any car that has been shown at this concours cannot be shown again at this concours for 3 years. This is standard to all concours shows, ie: Meadowbrook, Amelia, Greenwich etc... It's to keep the show field fresh and new each year. Especially since spectators pay $50 a head to get in.
As an Invited Participant you get everything Free, including a Complimentary Breakfast and lunch, Goody Bag that's WOW, and free passes to give to friends who would like to attend.
Thanks for your interest, any questions let me know.

Here's some coverage of the Concours event in CT. This wouldnt be too hard to get used to: free entry (the spectators have to pay $20 each to get in), catered breakfast and lunch (we're talking real caterers here, Grey Poupon and all!), free lounge chairs to entrants, even a pianist playing accompaniment on a baby grand for the whole day. Thanks Steve,
GREAT Pic's. Love your son and his Games. He was into that big time. My Wife and I will be in charge next year again of building the muscle car class. The only rule is a car that was shown cannot be shown again for 3 years. So, get ready for next year.
Did you notice, even in the spectators parking lot, you couldn't swing a Dead Cat without hitting a Ferrari. Or a Rolls.
My Charge is to Build the Muscle Cars Class to be the BEST at any Concours in the country. With People like here on SYC, Bill, Albert, Steve, Tom (so sorry you couldn't make it) and those who are already lined up for next year, I am sure we will do it.
Look for Coverage of this event in an UpComing Issue of "Sports Car Marketplace".

I thought I heard Speedvision was there and might have a segment. I do not know for sure.
Also, just FYI, Lunch for the Car Owners and VIP's was provided by Joanne Woodward and her husband Paul Newman. She hosted a VIP Lunch at the tent. My wife got to meet her.
They are big supporters of the Charity and Cars of course.
I am asking the show to create a "Muscle Car Class" hopefully next year, we will have our own class.
I'll keep everyone posted.

All Right,
I want to see that.
I love the 2nd Generation Firebirds. When I was a kid, I went to Fiore Pontiac in Rhode Island and they had a Black 1974 Firebird, with 4 Speed, Superduty 455 and Posi, dog dish hubcaps and painted wheels, basic black interior. It was a special order and the customer didn't take it. I wanted to buy it but at almost $1000 over the price of the other birds it was too much money then.
Man, to have it now.
Come on Steve, winters coming, get the Trans Am done and post some pics. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Joanne Woodward, the actress, otherwise known as Mrs Paul Newman was at the Fairfield Concours Sunday Sept 21st. She and her husband Paul Newman sponsored the Lunch and Breakfasts for the Car Owners and VIP's. Ms. Woodward aka Mrs Newman was there meeting people. Word was Paul Newman was there, but I am not sure, what I am sure of is I found out that Paul Newman (The Actor) and a very generous supporter of The Concours and it's Charity for Autism Passed Away on Friday. He had been battling Cancer for quite a while. He was present at last years event. He Loved the Cars, and in years past would make it to see every one of the cars at the show, and meet the owners. He will be sadly missed. He Was a Car Guy. In a Very Big Way.
Just and FYI to all, Paul Newman at 83 Passed away this Friday of Cancer.
God Bless him and all car people.
